Have you seen a young lady with a lip ring in here?
"What'd she look like?"
A young lady with a lip ring.
Yeah, that looks pretty interesting, and I like Rollins a lot.
Loved him in movies ever since that awful Charlie Sheen one back in the day. Looks good!

Loved his stand up from years ago too. Very funny dude.
Thanks for the heads up, will definitely watch this. They kinda spoiled the entire movie in the trailer, but that seems to be the norm these days.
Hmm it seems like it's not in my city at all tomorrow. Is there a larger release planned? Usually we get everything here. First movie I've been interested in seeing that I can't.
Edit: OK seriously cannot find a theater showing this within like 50 miles of Kansas City in the next 2-3 weeks, freaking weird. Can't see anything online about it even being a limited release so I might just be boned.

This type of movie screams limited theatrical release then quickly onto VoD.
I mean, I had no problem finding "What We Do in the Shadows", like 3 theaters nearby had that for quite a while. I would have thought this was actually a bigger release than that one.
Maybe it's some weird middle ground of not indie enough for the indie theaters and not big enough for the normal ones
This must be REAL limited because it's only playing in a tiny theater in Los Feliz, which really is saying something.
Well, it's competing with Star Wars...
Really disappointed that they gave so much of it away, but fuck I want to see this now anyway.
Oblig post as i know someone else will look for this after reading this thread.
Sigh this shit is 20+ years old now...
Listened to Black Flag, Rollins Band, and all of his spoken words growing up. Guy was an idol to me in my highschool days and almost flipped my shit when I watched him get his ass kicked in the movie Heat. This movie is a definite watch for me!
They were telling me that Alamo Drafthouse was going to show the new Star Wars straight for 2-3 weeks? FFS
Wow, a fairly original idea from Hollywood. And it looks good, to boot.
Rips are out for DL, no where else to watch
Just watched. Was great - love me some Henry Rollins just being Henry Rollins.
I watched this last night. It's a pretty strange movie, but appealing in the way that it's strange. He's a vampire, but only to the extent that he eats flesh/drinks blood. He's more of a cannibal that can't die in those regards though. And he doesn't even do it "that much". And he isn't affected by crosses or sunlight. So it's not a traditional vampire at all.
It's just a very strange movie. But if you watch it, you'll like it. And it's unique. You could get incredibly wealthy if you just live forever. But at the same time, things would be so boring. No wonder he just wants to "exist".
solid movie. love how he doesn't' give a fuck and keeps asking what time it is, lol like come on!
Watched this over Christmas and found it to be a delightful horror comedy.
I really like how the portray how plain bored he is of everything. Let me play senior bingo in peace!
Streaming on Netflix. The plot was basic and as mentioned the premise not overly unique, but Rollins really nailed the "no fucks given" attitude of his character.
Yeah i didnt think the story looked unique, i've seen Taken. But I forgot I wanted to see this movie. Thanks for the heads up.
It was entertaining, not cringeworthy and the zero fucks given attitude is spot on. Sad times, it wasn't released in theaters near enough for me to see it's run, but it really didn't need the big screen treatment to be enjoyable.
Really wish Rollins was in more stuff.
Never saw the trailer, but remember seeing this thread title and gave it a shot when it popped up on Netflix's suggestion for me.
This was actually pretty fucking awesome. They went a tad heavy handed with the Cain stuff, felt like it would have worked better if it was more understated/implied rather than just, you know, saying it. Also putting it in the trailer is a shit idea.
Him just straight up telling her is the problem, it just feels far too direct. It's like he's not telling her, he's telling the audience, just in case they had somehow not already figured it out/assumed.
Or a fallen Angel. Cain was son of man, but in one of the first scenes we see Henry with his shirt off and two large wing scars. I think there was maybe a revision in the script at some point.
I enjoyed it though. Good flick. I would have been fine with more Cain stuff. I think they did a good job avoiding the temptation.
its on Netflix fyi
edit: I am late 2 the party

I honest like the version they went with more, but you're crazy if you think the audience would have known without directly telling them
This just appeared in AU netflix so I checked it out.. bloody great.. henry rollins nailed it.
