Not in the mood to torture myself, so I don't have a video for a specific scene. If you've seen the movie, you know how it is.
Share your sad movie moments
The first one made me cry like a little bitch.
The entirety of the movie "The Road". Also, many parts of 50/50.
A bunch of scenes from Hugo.
an understated ensemble that puts the "b" in subtle
The Road was indeed pretty fucking bleak. But I liked it. Felt a little forced at the end... it could have been more depressing. I don't know that anyone willing to watch that movie is expecting a feel good ending.
i still cant even watch this clip without wanting to tear up.
The end of Big Fish gets me every time.

Because for many people that intro scene hits really close to home and does so on different levels/for different reasons. To this day, I've still never understood why people fucking loved that movie and had so much emotion tied up in it. It's right behind Brave and Cars 1/2 as their worst movie.
Anyways, end of Green Mile got to me
Couldn't find the actual ending on youtube but this is pretty close. As dog lover with 3 dogs....I can't make it through this without tearing up. Every damn time.
Gets me every time.
Also, I teared up the first time I saw this:

Damnit, could only find it in the dubbed version.
When I want to see a sad movie, I watch Reign over me.
Probably best acting job Adam Sandler ever did.
"im going home too" ..tears.
I was going to link The Iron Giant, but somebody else already did. That scene makes me super depressed every single time I see that movie
And this. This movie ruins me
Eternal Sunshine fucking turns me in to a blubbering little girl for sure.
This one is from childhood but still fucking gets me
I cried while posting this.
First of all, fuck Grave of the Fireflies, wasn't that older brother sitting on crazy cash the entire time and didn't do shit with it? For mine, Schindler's List ending, all the things he could've sold to save more lives. I have never seen regret and sorrow better acted out in my life:
Two that came to mind that haven't been posted yet.
I'm a sucker for powerful music behind the sadness and the end of Moulin Rouge has made me cry a few times.
Scene in Star Wars Episode 3 where Obi-wan is yelling at Anakin. His heart-broken rage is just amazing acting.
Basically, Ewan McGregor is the fucking man at powerful emotion.
Pretty much all of "I am Sam"
And all the Disney and Pixar movies have moments that put my heart in my throat. Especially that seen chuk put in from Up
Ending of Eight Below.
Having a really old dog at the time, I weeped right at the start of that scene.
Go to 3 mins in, can't get the t=3m to work with video tag because I'm dumb.
What Dreams May Come
Kaige#1128 - Battle.net
Kaige - Steam
Can't find a good clip of it, but Where the Red Fern Grows. The scene where Old Dan dies and then Little Ann dies of loneliness. I'm a dog lover and we watched the movie when I was a kid in school and it's always stuck in my mind.
I cried like a bitch first time I saw this.

The only movie moment that has ever made me tear up was at the end of "Life is Beautiful" when the kid sees the tank and runs towards his mom yelling "We won! We won!"
Fuck this thread and fuck these onions. I remember ever single one of those just by seeing the movie still in the window.
Not movies per say, but he!

I actually did the popcorn trick once.
Can't find a clip that isn't dubbed over or slowed down, but The Fox and the Hound ruined me as a kid. It was probably the only cartoon that made me sad until Up.
The scene in The Amazing Spiderman when all the cranes are lining up. I teared up a bit.
if the scene had gone on any longer i probably would have cried that mel gibson's dog got killed at the end of Road Warrior too. fucking bastards. take the fuel. rape and pillage all the gasoline, but kill that little doggie? mofuckas gonna pay for that!
This scene always makes my throat tighten up a little.
Its also one of the best scenes in any movie ever.
It is also epic as fuck.

When Rimshot the dog is turned into wood in the movie Ernest Scared Stupid. I was a kid and I cried.
The first time I watched the scene where Rue dies in Hunger Games.
When Littlefoot's mom dies.

Every time Uwe Boll gets funding.
Man the ending of The Green Mile gets me every fucking time. Same with the medic dying in Saving Private Ryan...that shit always fucks me up.
How can Sophies Choice not be in this thread:
the part of Greystoke where they kill Tarzan's "dad"
I had a tear roll down my face at the end of Lord of the Rings. My wife seen it and was furious as it was the only time she seen a tear on my in the 10 years we have been together. What can I say... I like elves and dwarfs!
Intro to Up
Final Execution scene in Green Mile
Graveyard of the Fireflies when the sister is dying of malnutrition
When I was a kid I went to see the Lion King with a friend who never knew his father. I remember being really sad when Mufasa dies and it made me also feel sorry for my friend, lol.
the video isn't as much of a trailer as much of the movie.
BUT... it worked, i believe (it was a while ago) they focused more on the aunt, i think cuz the kids wouldn't be able to carry such a movie and they needed a good actress to do it, so they got Matsushima Nanako, w/o her being the lead i think the movie wouldn't have been as good, go try it if you want to stab yourself with "feels", it's actually one of the few japanese movies (live action) that are good imo.
Top Gun - Goose Dying. Gets me every time. "You gotta let him go sir. You gotta let him go"
So many feels.
The scene from Scrubs, when Cox finally realizes Ben is dead and he is at his funeral ... no way I can stand this.

I fucking always cry when spock dies in wrath of kahn. Always makes me feel like such a nerd.
Saddest movie moment?
10 minutes into Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
I paid to see it, and promised my friends they'd finally understand why Final Fantasy was one of the greatest things on Earth.
Oddest saddest moment? That movie Cadence with Charlie Sheen always gets to me.
Terrible fucking movie, I mean awful. But sad.
