I think they are starting to ease up on the Batman thing since Bruce will discover the cave this season.
Cameron makes an amazing young joker. Can't wait for that arc
michael chiklis, and the dude we thought of as joker will return. i actually am looking forward to season two now that fish dumbass isnt around.
Would you guys say Gotham is better or worse than Daredevil?
not many here loved it, it was absolutely terrible at times. my biggest problem was fish mooney and how hokey it all was. if they can rein in the camp and there is no Fish in the cast then i am willing to give it a second chance. i really liked alfred and bullock, selena was decent too. i also love me some michael chiklis. plus, if they are really doing the Joker subplot justice then this may actually be really good
So did season one turn around at the end? I stopped watching with just a few episodes left because it was so awful.
I'm curious if I should finish it.
I abandoned ship towards the end of S1 did they actually kill off Fish or are people just praying
I watched the whole of season one and I couldn't tell you what happened in the last episode.
I was just glad it was over.
Penguin threw her ass off a roof after she killed the Don, doesn't show the body but iirc she said in an interview she wouldn't be in s2 so could go either way.
fish mooney was the live action Poochy
Thread title needs an addition - Now 100% Fish Free!
I liked Gotham better then Daredevil. I thought the scenes and feel of Gotham were spot on but Fish was shit. Daredevil was acceptable but pretty dry. At the end of the season in Daredevil I gave zero shits about every single character on the show.
My issue with the show is that I didn't like Gordon, I don't like the actor, I don't like how they handled the character. He keeps doing some dumb shit, like all the fucking time...and for the incorruptible cop, he keeps breaking the law, and making deals with crooks.
I just found him so annoying, it ruined the show for me.
I did like pretty much everything else though...Alfred, Bruce, Moroni, Falcone, Penguin, Selena, Penguin and Bullock were all pretty good.
But when you have issue with the central character, it's hard to enjoy a show.
yeah it really irked the shit out of me how gordon was a huge fucking hypocrite. dude was giving everyone shit for being corrupt and he breaks every goddamned rule himself in the process of solving crimes. the worst is when he kept going to penguin for infoz and trading up favors. not only is that corrupt, its fucking lazy police work.
bump for the season premiere tonight.

I am not sure where they are going with this, at this point. S1 ended with Bruce and Selena murdering a guy...
now, we have Gordon going to a 13yr old for advice on working for the mob. lol? and Bruce telling him he should. lol? that whole conversation was odd. its about "honor" , and how it is demeaning to be working for the Penguin. totally removing/ignoring the corruption, victims, and being complacent in the crimes. It was not about if it was right or wrong to work for him, it was entirely about how it is embarrassing to work for him..
Barbara master criminal now. lol? Mixed in with the male population...
Though Barbara being Harley would be a reasonable/interesting take. Very twisting of the knife. like the Martha-Joker of flashpoint.
The entry code is "bruce". "worlds greatest detective" was pretty lol.

Barbara is so fucking hot
Bruce tries 1012 first.
It appears to be nonstandard. which is interesting. 4 per key, with repeats to fluff.
Phone Key Pads
Normal is ABC=2, DEF=3, GHI=4, JKL=5, MNO=6, PQRS=7, TUV=8, WXYZ=9. With Q and Z being 1 on some phones.
Here appears.. AAB6=2, CDEF=3, GHI=4, JKLM=5, MNOO=6, PQRS=7, TUUV=8, WXYZ=9
"Bruce" is then.
2, 7, 8, 3, 3
If any of this is a reference to something, beats me.
The keypad in that picture has German letters. Each vowel has an umlaut next to it, and B has an esset next to it.
If Barbara's middle name was Harleen and last name Quinzel I would die of a priapism.
I was pretty disappointed in the Fish character, like so many people it seems. Right idea, I thought, just the wrong characterization in the end.
Anyways Season 2, great start, very much looking forward to this season.
Batman is not your normal type of guy (duh) so Bruce as a 13year old is not going to be normal, be interesting to see him grow this season. lol at the actual code though.
All the key rogues are in place as well, really looking forward to a Penguin and Joker confrontation if it happens.
Best part is, there is a time skip too.
He was trying to get into that door for OVER A MONTH. haha.
"Eventually he'll figure out its some dumb trope like his name"
Blows up door instead.
Was kind of surprised he didn't have the idea of dusting it for prints/see what keys were pressed the most to narrow it down. Saw the amount of explosives they had planned to use and laughed thinking they may cave in the staircase & have to clear out all that crap.
yeah. pretty sure a fertilizer bomb would be like the worst way to try blow a door. Huge volume of material needed, with zero directional control.
Especially if Alfred really is ex-military with obvious connections still to some of that world. Kinda surprised he couldn't hook up some more modern and controllable stuff to just , for instance, blast the hinges.
I am encouraged to see what looks like a full on set up for Court of Owls starting though.
I enjoyed S1 for what it was despite fish's attempt to ruin it.
Now that the court of owls has been confirmed I'm really looking forward to this season and EP1 was alot of fun to watch. I really enjoyed how Bruce handled not being able to get into the locked door by giving up and deciding to blow the door. When he finally gets in hey the passcode was your name dummy, good job!

Now that was a pretty dark episode...lots of dead cops
And Jerome is a pretty good "joker"
yeah, that was some fucked up shit, thought for sure those cheerleaders were toast, they actually should have been with the gas vapors and gasoline burns, anyone who has accidentally splashed gas on their hands would know what i mean
Awesome all the work they put into the first season is starting to bear fruit.
I don't think Penguin appeared once in Episode 2, and I didn't really miss him. That is a good sign.
I like the little touches (burtenesque) like the Reporters hair style near the end of the show.
I just know I am really going to enjoy the slow burn of the Riddler this year as he transforms into the comic book character.
Jerome is pretty badass.
Well that was unexpected.
fuck. just when i was enjoying this season and starting to believe they were rebooting awesome, they do this shit and then fucking fish bitch gets mentioned again. these motherfuckers better bring back jerome
I had a sickening feeling they were gonna pull a stunt like that. Really quite a shame since Cameron Monaghan did a bang up job with the part. The only consolation is that the Joker died a ton of times in the past and so finding a way out would be very much in tune with some of the late 60s and 70s Batman comics. (Where the Joker was clearly beyond Arkham Asylum due to the body count and yet needed a conclusion and so seemed to get killed rather than be locked up only to escape)
hrm. was expecting a Zatara cameo at "magician".
Or a young Zatanna. I think Im over the penquin, for a while ive felt the actor is trying to hard
hopefully he gets a reboot or possibly a secret twin brother thats even crazier. that dude sold me with his over the top performance. looked like he was having fun too. fuck i hate when they do shit like this. if it aint broke, dont fix it. the CW learned their lesson when they tried to kill off katy lotz character.
He has to come back most likely near the end of the season I would presume.
I can't believe that anyone could be that stupid to kill off a character like that...
Just realized that Jerome is the gay brother from Shameless US.
Well they did make Fish Mooney a prime focus of season one...they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.
i will say that barbara was so hot in that episode it was completely distracting seeing her in her little magicians assistance costume.
Although Jerome as "The Joker" was pretty good there was no way they could let him stay. The entire premise of the Joker is that he doesn't have a clearly defined backstory. Jerome had a clearly defined backstory and even some reasons for his hysteria. So now they made it so when the possibly actual Joker shows up his backstory will be unknown because Jerome is the inspiration but we don't know who it is.
So far Season 02 is actually pretty damn good TV.
I wouldn't have minded them giving Joker a backstory, but I don't think Jerome really would've accomplished that anyways. He was insane from the beginning. All he was missing was the green hair dye and some greasepaint. There really wasn't much of an origin to be had.
Hopefully the season can deliver still, for me it just took a big step backwards.
My fear is without the Joker my girl Babs won't have a reason to wear skimpy outfits
to be honest, if they had killed off gordon instead of jerome, i would have been fine with it.
Yeah they had a good thing with Jerome. It really seems like the writers are mostly tone deaf in this show but got lucky with a couple good actors. Fish almost made me drop this show early in season one, until I saw it leaked that she was out after the finale.

Apparently he spent all his time at that dead end desk job eating donuts.
I just about deep 6'd this show after season 1. Season 2 is ridiculously better. They shouldn't have axed Jerome so quickly. Easily the best character on the show for me to watch.
Yeah S2 is actually good TV. I find the billionaire character very interesting.
they really amped up the violence, dunno if that makes this show "better". though it is entertaining so i guess it all comes out to the same thing. i think they have way too many characters.
Sure hope the writers of this show are just a bunch of trolls
How many times did they mention Fish Mooney coming back?
I liked this show, but this is getting retarded lol. 20 sticks of dynamite and when they blow up, they only set the chicks foot on fire 5 feet away. Shoots kid 4 times in the shoulders/chest, but just for jumping the shark they shoot his balls where the c4 was stored and body parts fly everywhere. Just need the POW and BAM shit to pop up randomly during fights.
Pretty sure that was all overshadowed by the goddamn Merc store, heh. That's some self-parody right there.
I could of done without the Merc Store, otherwise I enjoyed the episode. And I thought that the Penguin plan was gold.
Looking forward to see that unravel and what happens to Bridget as well.
I loved the Merc store. it was so very comicbooky. very goofy and campy.
its not a previously established comic thing if anyone was wondering. The girl is this shows version of Firefly. No relation to any of the comic versions really.
First version of Firefly. DC's Mysterio.
Garfield Lynns- Visual effects expert, down and out. Uses visual effects to commit crimes.
Ted Carson- wealthy heir gambles away money. uses high tech gadgets to commit crimes.
Garfield Lynns. now a pyrotechnic FX expert for movies. down and out, and commits crimes. Develops pyromania, becomes an arsonist, goes crazy.
new 52. Ted Carson this time again. A school teacher, uses arson to get back with his ex-gf. murders Garfield Lynns in an attempt to frame him for the arson.
Finally got around tot his after I thought I deep sixed this shit after season one.
Man Jerome is KILLING it.
B.Net: TJT#1179"Let go your earthly tether. Enter the void. Empty, and become wind."
I don't know if this backstory stuff follows the comic books but I liked season 1 a lot. It's gritty and a bit cartoony at the same time with the some of the stuff Fish Mooney did etc but that's what comic books are right...
Floods today gave me time to finally watch season 2.
Cameron Monaghan killed it as the Jerome/Joker. I was pretty pissed that they killed him already. I could watch a whole season with that guy, what a waste of talent.
The story they are running now is sort of a warped version of the Court of Owls. See how it all pans out by the end of the season.
One things for certain, getting rid of Fish was the best thing that show did for itself, and Jada is not coming back so don't worry.
im starting to get worried, i have a bad feeling that Firefly meets up with a certain fishlike black woman at Indian Hill.
just about everything of this episode was season 1 stupidity.
Silver is a horrible actress and suddenly over the top evil/retarded.
Riddler full on psycho killer. Making Riddler a poor mans Joker is just a stupid direction for that character.
Butch's boys run away... fucking giant machine guns sitting on the wall Gordon and Bullock pick up and use.. the hell?
Galavan himself is a decent character. But, another original character really doing pretty much the same as Fish. OC donut steel, being the main focus of everything. Making very personal attacks on the Penguin, seemingly just to set him up for Penguin to unleash his rage on.
Silver St. Cloud by the way for people more familiar with only the mainstream Batman is one of Bruce's long term girlfriends. More so then Selina or Talia if TAS or movies are your main Batman. She knew he was Batman. They were to get married at one point. Bruce being Batman too much causes separation. then later shes murdered.

multiple penguins was good. yeah, Ill admit that.
I suspect, Gordan takes down Galavan. And he either flees Gotham, or is arrested. and, at which point then Penguin gets vindictive on him.
Outside of the machine guns scene I thought last night's episode was really good. I like the Silver vs Catwoman interaction I found it high schooly hilarious. I'm pretty sure I called my dog and my cat two faced sluts like 50 times after Selena said it. Then I called my wife a single faced slut and that didn't go over quite as well.
i find the show fairly enjoyable while keeping my expectations very low.
