I liked that. I have a lot of love for Pixar, and one of the first movies I ever saw was The Land Before Time so I'm definitely looking forward to this.
hoping this will be good, looks like it might be a lot of fun.
2 pixar movies in 1 year? this is madness
I have my daughter hooked on Land Before Time already. She loves it.
I can get my own green food!
A war is coming, I've seen it in my dreams. Fires sweeping over the Earth, bodies in the streets, cities turned to dust... retaliation.
Hollywood is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until everything you love is dead.
I will give this go based on the reputation that Pixar have, but this and Inside Out are not speaking to me like previous movie trailers they have done..
I'm not a pussy parent that doesn't know how to talk to my child. Death happens, it's a part of life. She can see it and I have no problem explaining it.
Looks like a movie my kids will love, at least. Hard to tell by that trailer whether it will be something I'll enjoy.
looks wonderful, i cant wait. curious where the pizza planet truck, john ratzenberger's voice and a113 will be shown in this period of our world.
The whole thing will be Andy's dream, with a post credits cameo by Tim Allen and Tom Hanks, leading into Toy Story 4.
Is this like the Macaulay Culkin movie The Good Son?
The dinosaur moves around like it's a marionette. Very "held up by strings". Maybe it'll be good, but I don't have any anticipation at this point.
I dunno. Looks beautiful, but the character design of the dinosaur is jarringly out of place with the rest of the scenery. Its an almost featureless bright-green gumbi blob in an otherwise nicely decorated scene, and the clash takes me right out of the mood.
They essentially did the same for Finding Nemo, but the animation is way way better now.
i had no idea this was even out, life with all the kids out of the house is so less cartoon oriented i guess

i guess my brain has only room for having two or three movies hyped up, and right now its all star wars baby
I saw it over the weekend with my wife. We both enjoyed it, it was on par with Brave I guess. Worse then the classics, way better then Cars.
I was really surprised they took the whole "Old West" angle. Maybe I just didn't pay close enough attention to the trailers but it took me awhile to get it.... Kids loved it. Wife cried, and i'll go with what others have said. Not as good as their big names like Toy Story but better than others. I don't think anyone would be disappointed especially if you have kids. I felt it was Pixar's take on the Lion King which isn't a bad thing necessarily.

yeah, it was closer to Brave or maybe A Bug's Life than any of their other films. pretty good movie. the animation of the scenery is fucking insane. this is next level groundbreaking shit. some sad parts as per usual pixar, but ultimately upbeat.
the screener is also out in the usual places.
Thought it was better than brave, premise is lame but there was some laughs. Animation on the characters was weak
Ultimately this movie is forgettable. I actually DID forget it until a screenshot from it during a year-end retrospective made me realize that PIXAR had two flicks this year. Inside Out is an instant classic and one which will be talked about for years to come... Good Dinosaur is bargain bin fodder.
Took my wife to see this today. Not a bad little film, but it suffers from extreme familiarity in that I feel like I've seen everything it does done many times before in countless other movies.
this explains a lot. too many chefs in one kitchen and 6 year development without an ending. it was supposed to be released 2 years ago.
More like The Annoying Dinosaur

If Inside Out had not been so great, this may have hurt Pixar a bit. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything I would go out of my way to recommend.
I'd say the quality concerns were a large contributor to the delays in release. Some probably wanted to pull a Blizzard and sweep it under the rug with StarCraft Ghost, WarCraft Adventures, and Titan, but not everyone can just eat millions of dollars in "R&D" like Blizzard can.
I will say in its favor that there were many shots I legit couldn't tell whether they were CG or RL footage. I still don't know. Water, foliage, and terrain looked incredible. Was it all CG? Did they integrate some actual footage of landscapes and plants? It was actually kind of a weird contrast compared to the uber-cartoony look of the main dinosaur, but I will give them credit for casting doubt in me.
