I don't drink much soda anymore but I only drink two.
Coke: Not much is greater than an ice cold Coke on a hot summer day.
Rock N Rye: A Soda native to Michigan only. Faygo (its maker) has branched out to be more available in other states but Rock N Rye is only available there and it's the best dam soda on the face of the planet.
Top Tier: Coke (when eating), Pepsi
Treat: Cherry Coke (but I prefer homemade), Cheerwine, Stewart's Black Cherry.
Shit Tier: I hate diet soda's.
I drink way more tea than soda though.
An A&W root beer in a frosty mug is wonderful
Mountain dew code red is nectar of the gods.
For some reason I find cherry varieties of sodas better than the regular. Regular mountain dew I really don't care for, but code red is just amazing. Back in the day circle k had a code red icee, they don't anymore .

Coke, barqs, virgils root beer, Dr pepper...in no particular order i drink the hell out of all of them
Honestly, I drink club soda more than anything. I like my fizz without sugar or sweeteners.
I remember this stuff from my youth, the stubby bottles. I don't like pop all that much, didn't back then, either. But we got a crate of this stuff when we went camping, and it was like gold. Didn't even matter the flavour, though the creme soda was my favourite, I think.
I miss Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. On the bright side, I lost a ton of weight when they quit making it.
So being a total hipster fish store. We have a vintage soda machine where we stock only glass bottle vintage sodas. $1 each which is basically cost. But The flavors are awesome.
Here is our current lineup:
Brownie Root Beer Cream
Frostie Blue Vanilla Cream
Amazon.com | SodaStream Fountain Jet Home Soda Maker Starter Kit, Black and Silver: Seltzer Bottles Chargers
only really can recommend if you have good water, or a basically a brita, (do ppl use tap water to drink?)
Sodastream is alright, pretty hit or miss with flavors. Typically the fruity ones are really good, while stuff like Cola is terrible. Slightly healthier than regular soda, no real cost savings or anything. Kind of a pain to get refills for the CO2 around here.
My favorite soda is Code Red, but I've heard a lot of people hate it.
I've been into Sparkling Ice lately, mainly because of the no sugar thing. I'm assuming it's nationally distributed since they sell it on Amazon.
These are the one time where off-brand drinks are like 10 cents cheaper per, but not worth the difference. Sparkling Ice has the perfect carbonation to flavor ratio. The rest are either really flat or taste like cough syrup.
In addition to IBC I used to love Cactus Cooler, but never saw it anywhere but southern California.
I just hate that splenda and fake sugar has infected every darn "soda"... those syrup mixes used to make at home soda all has suclarose etc. FFS even KOOLAID syrup things have fake sugar... how is that product ever considered anything but pure sugar?! There is not much midground, you have the flavored sparkling water from nestle and the like that is just carbonated (or natural) water + flavor - or full fledged non diet soda - almost everything inbetween has stievia, suclarose or the good ol boys of artificial sugar. The ICE stuff would be awesome if made with just a little real cane sugar rather than whatever amounts of suclarose is in there.
I don't get the "I NEED REAL SUGAR IN MY DRANK" thing going on. Sparkling Ice is made with bat cum for all I know but they fucking nailed the taste.
Well one gives you the urge to hump small furry creatures and the other DIABEETUS!
My mother in law hoards the coconut ice by the case, shit is crazy. I remember working at the supermarket when that stuff first came out, it was such an explosion onto the market. We had pallets of the stuff being sold out in hours.
Virgil's normal root beer definitely has an edge to it. That was OK, but the special edition Bavarian nutmeg def took that edge off. Much smoother imo.

I rarely drink soda anymore. However, whenever my teenagers are over and we have a BBQ, they always ask to buy some Root Beer and I will have one of these occasionally. Shit is great.
Hmm, picture is much smaller than I expected. I'm too lazy to get another one, but it is Henry Weinhards root beer
Henry Weinhards is my favorite cream soda, Sprechers is right up there too. About 10 years ago I got on a huge root beer / cream soda kick and tried pretty much everything I could find at BevMo. I'm sure I'm missing some, but have tried the following root beers and any of them that have a cream soda:
I'm not picky when it comes to colas. Pepsi, Coke, RC are all fine to me. Can't stand diet and don't typically like fruit flavored stuff.
My favorite non-cola is College Club Gassosa. Not sure if that's just a regional thing though.
Mexican made Coke in the glass bottles =Master race soda. They use cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup and it makes a world of difference.
Not sure if they're available all over the country, but they have them at 7-11's here in Texas as well as some grocery stores. You can get the equivalent in major cities during Passover because they have to use cane sugar.
Arizona's Mango/Grape Rickey is a pretty good drink for cheap.
I like A&W Root Beer direct from the keg nearly frozen in a frozen mug. That shit.. damn.
Or skittles and cough syrup.

Sodastream | Empty Carbonator Information
This is relevant
I was sad to see how bad they rated Malta, one of my favorites.
Think I did the KOLD math at around $1.40 for equivalent to a can of soda (remember they're 8 oz per "cartridge") - Sprizzi ended up around $0.40-60 IIRC still pricier than store bought but not astronomically so.
European (ones I get are from Austria) Fanta > all... No competition
Marvel Heroes - LostVirtue
Playstation Network ID - LostVirtue
Saw some of these on the shelf next to the beer for the first time yesterday. 6% ABV and they claim no alcohol taste, which I find hard to believe given how lightly flavored seltzers typically are.
God tier: Fanta Green Apple from a fountain distributor at the Ikebukuro station of the Seibu line in Tokyo, Japan, in the '90s.
For something more available: fountain Sprite.
For nostalgia: Sumol de laranja (basical the portuguese Orangina or Sinalco).
That being said I have never been a big soda drinker (never ever had any at home) and now I drink maybe two glasses a year. At home it's tap water and milk, outside it's ice tea or cold chocolate (I was about to say sports drink, but I almost dropped those completely).
Virgil's has the best "old style" soda. They have Root Beer, Cream Soda, Orange Cream and I think Black Cherry. Fucking awesome stuff.
