Downloaded last night (ios). So far I think its gonna last a while.
I really wish campaign had auto battle (use special skills and advance stages). But that's just a small niggle.
New(er?) Game for android. Seems a bit more fun than a lot of the other free games out there. Build a team, level up, promote. Pvp arena and a few other things. Has a gacha system but it doesn't seem to be pay to win.
I have a guild as well if people are interested. Anyone else playing?

I tried it... does it get deeper than wait until the energy fills from auto attacks and use the only skill?
Derpa, thats good to know.
Troll, you have a guild? Do I need to be lvl 32 to to join, or is that only to create one?
I downloaded it on iOS, seems to be alright so far. Will see how it scales later and whether it will require purchases to progress in any meaningful manner
Picked this up last night. Is there a friends list in game or something?
Game gets pretty bad past level 40

edit: One big difference, Guardians crashes on me constantly.
Anyways, I'm up to 20some in Heroes Charge. Do we have a guild going or something?
Not even sure how it works since there are multiple servers. Dunno if android and iOS are co-populated either.
I'm up to level 36, pulled in 2 3 star heroes which seems to help quite a bit.
Just hit 30. I did get 1 3* hero from a chest. I know I should probably save up for the 10 pull since it saves you 288 crystals, but I might not even play long enough for that so fuck that noise.
One tip I will say, use lots of those exp potions you get. Makes a big difference. I was struggling through the one quest trying to farm a drop with my heroes all 27/28. Cranked them all up to 30 and now I 5* it every time NP. Of course I still need like 10 more of the fucking drop...
I'm interested. Up to level 38 now. Arcane sapper isa beast
Other than my one 3* unit, Professional Killer fire skeleton archer guy, I have no idea what others I should definitely be focusing on. Picked up a few 1*'s today.
Cleric seems handy. Ultra skill adds physical damage shield to the whole group. 1st skill heals the lowest health member. 2nd skill adds a magic shield to one random teammate. Decent mitigation.
Psychopath, no idea. Front line magic user who has a chance to spam his skills. No idea how common that triggers
Vanguard Warrior, no idea. Front line "DPS fighter". His attacks center around him like charging in to the enemy. Which...I mean if he's your sole front liner seems like it might get him dead. But if you use 2 and he's behind the other it might spread out the damage some for you. No idea...
Shallows Keeper, no idea! Front line "Strength Tank". His skills are kind of all over the place.
I have no fucking idea if any of these fuckers are worth paying attention to. The wiki is sparse and stupid so no idea if one of them gets vastly better stats later on or something.
I had 500 gems saved up but no one had said anything so I bought another chest. Got some item I won't be able to use for another 20 levels. Dope.
Is there a good resource for this game? Better than the wikia?
Loaded this up last night, got level 20 ish, seems pretty neat. Got a 3* Professional Killer already.
Not sure how to add friends or join guilds yet. Haven't really messed with that.
PVP arena seems very rewarding.
I just got 550 Diamonds for beating someone in arena wtfffff
Sick I got a 3 star Iron Hoof out of a gold chest.
You get a 3* automatically out of the first gem chest. Or maybe the first free one. And I suspect it's from a limited pool of them. Brute would be the best one apparently. Admiral is a crappy tank and you are supposed to replace her as early as possible. I'm working up my Shallows Keeper.
Also, CHAPLAIN! Get that horsebitch's Ultimate skill leveled up. Group heal is huge for Crusade. And her 3rd skill is pretty dope, turns the nearest guy against his partners for a bit making the fight essentially 6 on 4 for a short time, while your team still attacks him.
Out of the units you get early it's Chaplain > Emberstar > Shadowleaf(Leafshadow?) are the 3 you should focus on. From arena points you want Old Curse. And from Crusade points you want Commando. No idea how long those take to work up to. It's not a short term thing if you are F2P.
Also apparently after you are better off not buying the big expensive chests for the most part. Gems better spent on stam to level your team up for a while after you hit level 20 and the free stam from leveling slows down.
Crusade is your main goal early on apparently.
[GUIDE] How to clear crusade each day 15/15 for those below lvl 45
Yeah I have a level 25 +1 chaplain with tons of skillpoints in ult. I have Iron hoof 3 star with lots of points in ground slam interupt and Professional Killer 3 star with maxed attack damage boost. I have 2 star Frost Mage and Ice mage (Frost mage is on the roster for the ice block) and a 3 star Psychopath with maxed out multi target fire dot.
I decided this game was fun enough for $20 in gems and bought the 10 pack gold chest with the one-time double gem purchase.
I got a lot of heroes from the chests, only a couple of them were 3 star. The rest 2 and 1 star.
I got brute and commando the first day i downloaded this, both from chests
chests. Commando is the only hero I use on every single fight. Working on warchief, i think im at 15/30 stones

[GUIDE] How to clear crusade each day 15/15 for those below lvl 45
I can offer some help on which heroes to focus on but for general tips keep the following in mind:
Typically, a hero that has more stars > a hero that has a higher quality. ie: 5 star commando (blue) > 4 star command (purple)
The game has a massive focus on being pay to win since you'll be energy/gem/skill/money starved. Not to mention some of the best heroes only come from the Mystic stones which you can't unlock until much higher VIP level which sucks.
Money problems disappear around level 70 (sitting on 12 million gold right now).
Always do the crusade FIRST (daily) as it is tied to your arena ranking.
Enchantments get really powerful around level 40+ when you start to get Master/Artisan ranks.
Crusades, Merc camps, Booty cave are the best ways to get money. I very rarely sold anything at all with the exception of the items that autosell at the merchant.
The Crusade has a "hint" icon in the upper right that will give you advice on which heroes to use, it's very good.
Don't worry too much about getting a DK hero as you can typically find guilds that will allow you to Merc it daily for the crusade.
Do your dailys.

What server? I wasn't even aware that was a concern but that # has nothing for me on mine. There's a server switch option(though you start from scratch) on the options page, though it does list every one of the previous 71 servers as "Full".
I might just find some random bigger guild I guess.
Me and a friend are on the Helga server - I'm level 37 now with 3star +1 blue iron hoof and professional killer. In a guild with a pretty good Deathknight on rent.
Need one more crusade rotation for a commando.
I'm not even sure what server I am on at this point.
Level 47 with 6 blue 2 stars+1 and 2 blue 3 star.
Got lucky with first chest pull being dk. Somehow looted a professional killer, but i am on the fence about him. Single tgt dps is great, but i keep thinkin aoe is king.
Should I focus on old curse or dk with arena points? We only have one dk in the guild I'm in and worries about keeping up in level with it since the guy is higher than me.
The only thing I use my DK for right now is to make money via merc and the occasional campaign/elite mission that needs a good self absorb tank.
The Old Curse is also really good in the arena.
I didnt like phoenix at first....but he's the reason I can 15/15 crusade no prob now
Yeah i am growing to like phoenix as well. Just got rifleman, guess ill blow a buncha pots on em
Mystic over Commando? Seems everyone runs commando in every setup. I haven't bothered leveling my mystic so far.
At 44 I'm running dk, prof killer, chaplain, commando and vengeance.
I got my Commando the other day and I use her, but she doesn't feel like the insane power bump people were talking about. Still working up her inspiration skill though and certainly not high enough to get her above Blue +2 to unlock that last skill.
Ah yeah mystic would be for a magic team while commando works better with a agi.
I should probably start spending some crusade points on mystic too tho.
This has great synergy with the Mystic who AoE silences, the OC who freezes, and Frost Mage who debuffs magic resistance.
Commando has been a staple hero in just about everything I do outside of Crusade and is my first and only max'd star character at 5. I used her all the time during the Crusade up until I built my caster team as she can not only boost the physical attacks/movement speed, but she can also boost magic attack and dizzy (stun) the first enemy she encounters.

Just got bear warrior from a gold chest and wondering if he's worth leveling up to replace my brute for tanking campaigns or if brute is still better. Level 46~.
Got most of my main guys up to 2* in the last two days. In my 5 arena fights today I climbed about 4000 spots.
I've heard Crusade opponents are based on arena ranking. I probably should have sandbagged that for a while...still never cleared it(level 43). Run out of steam on 13 or 14 generally.
Yeah this morning I got to 14 on Crusade and got an opponent 3 levels higher than me. My secondary team couldn't even make a dent in them for my primary team to finish off. Sad.
I'm at 390 rating in arena, 1 or 2 days away from old curse. Have a 2 star commando from crusade. Phoenix carrying me through a million fights.
Maxed commando haste move speed - Maxed Phoenix ultimate + Commando ultimate wipes the entire back line.
I honestly don't think that it is based off your arena score. I was in the top 150 and the crusade didn't seem any different when I was 1000+
Running Commando, Pheonix, Iron Hoof, Succubus, and Old Curse, all 3 star except OC which is 2.
For crusade I swap out Pheonix for chaplain, haven't had a problem with 15/15
I swapped my arena team out over night the other day to test it. Dropped like 3k rating and crusade was no different. Someone said that worked for them but I haven't seen a change.
It's been said by others, but honestly just run whatever you have the highest star/color heroes for the most part. There are "better" heroes, but if you don't have them or they are low compared to your other options they will not be as good for you.
I've had two viable strategies work for me, at least in campaign and area:
1.) 1-3 tanks, 1-2 support 1 massive dmg dealer, fill in the leftover with a burst dmg hero. Basically you outtank the other team letting your 1-2 dmg dealers whittle them away before your front line dies. The difference in survivability for the tankish heroes and the magic/archer types is huge, not to go underutilized.
2.) This one varies in it's success but I've gone 4 massive dmg dealers and 1 tank. It seems to be much more luck/opponent based but it can work. I find that magic damage dealers work better as they can burst down the other team quickly....or at least try to. This is harder to win against teams that build in start 1 i listed because it's more likely they can outlast/outheal the burst and once your single front line hero dies you are basically fucked.
Again these all depend on how good your heroes are and what luck you've had in farming/evolving/promoting. The guide for crusade is good. It's a fantastic source of money and some hero cards. You can buy them with the crusade points and you can often draw hero cards from the purple chests. I typically get something decent every other day.
Hit rank 166 in arena today - lvl 47 - Old Curse Phoenix combo is op.
I also joined the goon squad guild in this game. ROFL. they have death mage and death knight though. I'm the highest level in the guild.
Last edited by Vitality; 02-10-2015 at 05:27 PM.
Damn 166, that's awesome. I was at 900 something the other night and lost a match during the night that bumped me down 2k rating. Must have been someone that hadn't done arena at all to have such low rating with a 12000~ power team.
I got death mage yesterday so was pretty jazzed. Still a few days away from old curse and warchief.

My highest was around 150 in the late 40s. Starting to get a lot harder to crack 200 now with all the p2w players 4-5 levels higher. I'm at level 50 now where a few levels is the difference between all purples and all blues
Hit rank 69 today beat a 14000 power team with my 11.5k power setup without losing a unit. Level 49
Ember blade is pretty damn nasty with his purple skill.
Game is kinda fun, but the p2w is particularly strong with this one. Having to pay ludicrous amounts for a VIP level necessary to refill energy more than four times is patently ridiculous.
Anyway, definitely shot myself in the foot trying to acquire a lot of heroes instead of evolving the ones I like. Currently using Shadowleaf, Chaplain, Lightning barbarian dude, Ember Mage, Cleric. Working on Commando and Mystic because I hear they're considerably better than what I have.
I'm finding nothing to complain about with this one. Probably my biggest grip is that I pulled Admiral, but since I already had her it gave me 7 pieces instead. Not enough far an evolve. Not even close. I feel cheated, from the free pull.... in the free game.
My main lineup is Phoenix, Shadowleaf, Commando, Chaplin, and Succubus. Succ gets subbed out more and more for Wandering Spearman, Lightning Elemental or Sniper. All blue +2.
Note, on the ucool splash screen, looking at it upside down, does anyone else read it as 'poon'?
Been using emberstar 2 star (+2blue), warchief 2 star (+2 blue), Shadowleft 2 star (+1 blue), Frost mage 2 star (+1 Blue), and Lightning Master 1 star (+1 Blue). Plus Chaplain in crusade.
Not sure if I should be changing any of them out for the following (since that team has been working pretty well):
(First pull) Professional killer 3 star (blue)
Poisoned one 3 star (Green +1)
Ice mage 2 star (Blue)
Chaplain 1 star (Blue +1)
Ember Blade 1 star (Blue)
Arcane Sapper 1 Star (Blue)
Admiral 1 star (Green +1)
Phoenix 2 star (Green +1)
Shallows Keeper 1 star (Green +1)
Sniper 1 star (Green +1)
Vanguard Warrior 1 Star (Green +1)
Psychopath 1 Star (Green)
Cleric 1 Star (Gray)
Other than P2W, I don't have any real issues. My one gripe is that you only get 7 stones for a 1 star, 30 for a 3 if you already have the hero. It's bullshit since it costs so much to evolve heroes.
Frostmage is only good after she gets purple.
Swap lightning master out with phoenix. Phoenix cheeses most pve content and some pvp fights.
Look into getting old curse from arena and Commando from Crusade. Not having commando for the movespeed at the start of a fight means other teams with commando will beat you by default.
I've found cleric to be quite useful for some elite pve fights where the enemy 3rd round hero does an insane amount of phys dmg to the whole team. Cleric is a sub in for fights you can't beat without a healer. Chaplain is required for Crusade.
Make sure you're raiding all available Warchief elite fights every day.

I need a motherfucking Death Knight. I've bounced around a few guilds looking for them but they never stay in my level range long.
My usual team is Shallows Keeper, Chaplain, Phoenix base and then situationally Old Curse, Commando, Professional Killer, Cleric, Arcane Sapper, Goblin Machinist Lirune, Mystic, Ember lady, and Shadowleaf.
Mystic has been pretty underwhelming to me. I must be missing something with him, but a 2.5k or so nuke with full charge just isn't that amazing.
Problem with Phoenix in Crusade is he can only "die" so many times. And it carries over the whole time, doesn't reset for each fight. So after doing a full blast like 3 times he's just gone.
Machinist Lirune is pretty awesome. I don't even have his skills near maxed and his Ultimate is still an absolute wrecker.
I picked up War Chief today. He'll probably replace Shallows Keeper once I get him ready to roll, or go with both.
Stuff I have that I'm not really focusing on yet or have stopped. Admiral(girltank Trial!), Psychopath(supposed to be good), Lightning Master(just no space) are all Blue +2 but not really getting any love. Others that I've gotten and just haven't touched are Lunar Guardian(3*), Wind Master(3*), Depths Voice(2*), Sniper, Rifleman, Ember Blade, and Rifelman(all 1*).
There's probably some better team I could put together from all that, but I'm very lazy about research on this game.
I used Warchief for quite some time in Crusades as a sub until I could rent out a DK (even sometimes 4-5 levels lower than my current level).
Low level crusades (pre-purple) go: Chaplain, Commando, Old curse, Wind Master, DK
High level crusades (post-purple) go: Chaplain, Old Curse, Mystic, Frost Mage, and Death Mage
I've found no real value in Phoenix but as far as the others in your list:
Lunar Guardian combos VERY well with Commando and Shadowleaf.
Wind Master (see crusade).
Rifleman is awesome for guild raids and awesome for most of the Outland portal events.
Ember Blade is one of my new favorites as he's great as an anti-magic beast.
I whole heartedly disagree with no use for Pheonix, he will out damage almost every other hero you have in arena, and it's very likely he will Rez at least once.
Rank: top 50
I see lots of folks with Phoenix but I've never had problems dealing with it but then again I run a pretty heavy CC team so if it does do lots of damage, I haven't experienced it.
I read a thread about Phoenix and how he was kind of dominating on new servers where people didn't already have those established teams when he was given out. But one guy on an established server posted pics of his phoenix that he had focused on dominating. His damage really is unmatched when he gets a full round in, and his meter fills faster than anything else I think. The biggest problem is there's always some luck involved with him. If the other team lands a stun/freeze or any kind of interrupt on him when he first starts his laser he's just wasted. So like pyksel said his CC heavy team is a pretty hard counter to Phoenix.
Level 53 on a new server - Rank 100 in Arena (Regularly defend 10 times a day on average)
PVP line up:
Only person not 3star is frost mage. Everyone is Purple fully enchanted and maxed skills.
My setup mainly loses to Fallen Dominion teams.
I run Vengeance in arena because of Phoenix. So many people run Pheonix that having the petrify trigger almost always trigger immediately after Phoenix uses his Sun Burn wins the fight.
My setup right now is War Chief, Vengeance, Death Mage, Phoenix and Commando at level 54 all purple (Death Mage purple+1). I also have Shadowleaf at purple but have been underwhelmed by her so far. Old Curse I'm not going to use until I get him 3*. Just doesn't seem good enough at 2* to throw into the team.
Shadowleaf is really good in combo with windmaster and commando in a phys dmg team (possibly arcane sapper).
however in the current phoenix meta she's a bit underwhelming when she silences the enemy phoenix before it ults as opposed to during the ult.
I wish I had deathmage, but I won't be able to get it until 60 and the next arena group.
I'd replace phoenix with deathmage in a heartbeat in my lineup.
At 56, Deathmage is an awesome Crusade tank after you fill her meter (I run Death Mage, OC, Commando, Chaplain, Shadowleaf). I just don't think she's a good unit for arena since all of her damage is reliant on her ultimate. Cloud Walker on the other hand, JFC he's awesome. The unit I hate most now is Fallen Dominion. I've had him wipe my team one on three. So OP.
FD is easy if you use an AE magic team. He's really strong against physical though.
Had enough gems saved up to do a 10x gold chest this morning and pulled a Cloud Walker. Yay!
Also just hit 55 and opened up Outland Portal. That shit sucks. How do you get enough heroes leveled and skilled up to be able to do those?
Last edited by pyksel; 02-20-2015 at 06:23 PM.
Yea, the outlands are tough. I got lucky with my oddball team I roll with that I could actually do 2 of them! Outlands are all about having a wide array of purple heroes and not just a team of 5 beast modes and then 20 scrubs. I've found that the higher level I get the easier it is to keep all heroes up there. You don't really level heroes fast anymore so you end up with more skill points than you can spend and thus start distributing them to the other heroes. And then just from raid farming the elite instances for stones you earn junk item fodder, that if you don't sell, can turn any new hero into a blue +1 almost instantly....from there you have to work a bit at items.
Curious as to why people think this game is hardcore P2W though? Ive only spent 2.99 for that monthly pass thing and I seem to do ok. I won't lie that it helps a bit for the 120 gems a day, but really....it's not like I've got an insane team. From what I've read here most of you have better/harder to get heroes than I have, or I simply suck ass at team making/leveling/gearing. I guess I'm wondering because it's not like you can directly buy a hero or gear...it's still all time like any of these games.
Edit: For todays you can also use really strong tanks. Basically the goal is to for him to use 25% of his life for each kill, bringing him down to nothing so your last hero can kill

Every team above rank 100 in arena is level 50 with 5 star purple heroes that you can only get from gold chests at that team level on a server that's only a week or two old.
I can only complete two of them right now, the DoT one (have emvenomed one, old curse and Succubus) and the healing one.
I'm one hero short of being able to do the Pheonix, and no where close on the one that burrows.
Yes, but it has a hard stat check on hero HP. If you cannot survive the poison dot to use your ults you have zero chance of beating it. But because the dot maxes your energy if you do live you can beat him pretty easy.
Getting a little annoyed at the forced cookie cutter teams/OP heroes in this game Still a neat game but I wish they allowed better diversity or changed some hero's a bit.
Whenever I use the cookie cutter build I can completely rape people anywhere near my rating and often even higher. Yet the moment I switch to my favorite team, with more stars, better gear, and more promotions I die so quick. It's not like they are random heroes either, there is synergy. But because certain heroes just have some fierce team skills it's basically use them or get beat
I have poisoned one sitting at level 1. Guess its time to level him up. :\

Basically if you aren't ready to drop $200 bucks in gems you won't get anywhere close to rank 100.
I'm priced out of the top 100 on my server now. Sitting at 250. Way too many VIP 11+ Korean/SEA guys.
I just log in to help the guild out in raids now. There's really no point in arena unless I decided to drop a serious amount of cash on it.
Same here, i just auto-lose with my low level heroes 3x a day so I get the daily quest xp from arena. Also keeps the crusade nice and easy so I can farm it. Do you actually get many heroes/stones from gold chests? I typically just get a blue item and maybe an occasional hero card, which is only 7 stones.
Mostly I play now to try and get the outland portal done, which means fighting to get a more diverse hero set and avg. out their gear and skills.
Speaking of guild raids...is it a once and done thing? Or can the guild rebuy a chapter? How does it all work?
Guild raids are guild wide overtuned PVE things kind of like outlands. You flag yourself to be put in line for a particular purple item (I'm in line to get a pipe) in the loot console.
Guild officers and leaders can reset the whole thing (like you do in crusade) at the cost of the guild food (stamina) resource.
Participating in guild raids twice a day gets you some guild currency redeemable for heroes in the guild shop, Tusked storm and Succubus are notable guild resource purchases.
**Old curse and Phoenix put me at top dmg every raid day**
Really getting too raid damage is about attacking at the right wave of the right stage.
I'm usually in the top 3 in my guild, the top is always a guy that is like 15 levels higher than everyone else
Yea, game gets more annoying as you go unlike brave frontier or something.
I just reached Grand Arena level, everyone has like 3 full teams of purples with 3-4 stars...wtf? I thought I was doing ok until I saw that.
And now the crusade is fucking brutal. I'm facing the same full purple 3-4 star teams on level 2-3, so I've now got no hope of clearing the entire thing. I've tried everything. Only strat that works is to send in a mid-level team and hope they can take out the tank or at least do like 90% dmg to him so when I fight with my team I can get in there and hit the casters quicker.
I have 3 purple heroes, and only 2 3 star heroes....of course they are the "shitty" ones. WTB some balance.
Got my deathmage to purple+1 today (level 57 team)
What are you guys spending your grand arena points on? I'm thinking I should work on upgrading my 2 star death mage to 3 star first, but fallen dominion would be awesome to have as well. And iron hoof is pretty good... Choices choices.
As I've gained more heroes I've also found that some of them require much more difficult to obtain items than others to achieve purple+status. I got a few new heroes recently I was able to instantly push to p+1 after getting, others still stuck on blue+2(wtb that bone armor reel item more please).
Mentioned before but I'll use the "staple" team in arena sometimes when I need points or whatever so I can win, but I find it more entertaining to try other strange combos, which sadly never work in this game lol.
Edit: ohh and for my points(arena/grand arena/crusade) I spend them on the same heroes over and over trying to get 5 stars and NO, not the staple heroes Yes I know this is "stupid", I'm doing it anyway. I have two of them at 4star with 70/150 or so towards the 5th star!!
