It's about fucking time.

I think the Redskins thing would have made a good subplot, but it didn't have the distance for a full episode.
I thought it was a solid episode. It just wasn't a great one. Had this come midseason, there wouldn't be a lot to complain about. Great points were made, but the only truly lol moment for me was the Butters getting raped in an elevator joke.
It's a shame only a small group of people know who Brad McQuaid is or he could have starred in this ep too.
I thought that it was great!
As a Redskins fan I enjoyed seeing Dan Snyder get fucked up on the field.
daily show segment airs tonite.
Oh man, Southpark Studios taken over by Hulu now. Ad before the episode, intro, 3 more 90 second ads, 6 or 7 minutes of South Park and then more ads that you need to turn off adblock to get past.
check your PMs, Disp.
Thought it was funny they replaced RGIII from the trailer with Cousins
dailyshow segment, bunch of pussies, don't bother.
lol holy shit, this is epic so far. was that a The Stand reference?

I really liked the episode, but expected some type of reference to Ebola outside of it just being in the title. Damn gluten!
Posted this awhile ago in cooking thread, thought ppl could use the link, it's basically what the scientist was talking about.
Don't eat it! It'll make your penis fly off.
I have to admit I laughed every time a penis rocket blasted off.
I thought the ep was alright. Nothing too special.
it did feel like they were going to continue this next week, i was wondering where they were going with aunt jemima, then they wrapped it all up by the end and everyone was happy at the SP kids party. im guessing things will be back to normal next week, a whole south park season with continual continuity would be cool though i doubt they ever would do this because they would have to air their reruns in some kind of chronological order.
and they are keeping up the continuity this week. i wonder how long they will do this?
im getting old. i didnt even know there is somebody IRL named Lorde

Was having a good time until Stan passed out. Then I was having a great time.
Breaking News: People completely miss the point of a South Park episode. Film at 11.
Oh god. The Lorde bit is the funniest thing that's happened on this show in years.
I wouldn't be surprised if that actually was Lorde singing.
best episode in years holy clit balls
Stroke of genius with the subtle continuities between episodes. I've gone from barely giving a shit about South Park anymore to being incredibly excited for next week's episode. The scene where the scientist eats the pure gluten in front of the town was the hardest I've laughed at SP in a long, long time. I wouldn't say they're back to 100% glory, but it's close.
Very good episode, and I'm also liking the really minor continuity stuff.
Also there's a conspiracy(sorry, "truther") movement that is positive Lorde is much older than her claimed 17. The internet is awesome.
Yeah Stan passing out made me burst out laughing, I hadn't noticed his face so it was completely unexpectedly awesome.
Looooorde... Loooorde. I am Lorde. Lorde Lorde Lorde.
My terrible cable company is fighting with Viacom and I lost all my channels. They are also blocking their websites for anyone with their cable service. Any idea where I can stream this before I check the newsgroups?
Last night's episode was hilarious. I've never heard any of Lorde's music but I know of her. From reading some reactions online it seems like Lorde fans are at extreme levels of butthurt how South Park portrayed her. Which makes it even more hilarious.
SPIN responds to their appearance
South Park never ceases to amaze me with the fast turnaround, and how everything ties together.
This has been an excellent season so far. The anticipation for next weeks episode is already setting in... they have to be building up to something big for episodes 8-10.

I don't know why it made me laugh so hard but the depictions of the girl's rooms at the end just killed me. Posters and paraphernalia of Frozen, Winx Club and Lorde covers my 5, 7 and 17 year old daughters' rooms to the T.
So... Frozen episode next week?
I hope not, let it go at this point. Fuck that song.
Im trying to think of what strange thing was introduced this week that was left open ended. Maybe the press guy from Spin will be back? Stan still has an identity crisis? Butters is still a little hatemonger this season, maybe they will address that?
I've thought this seasons episodes of South Park are pretty good.
It's not the raunchy gut laughs that it was in the early seasons, but they're letting fly with the truly scathing social commentary. "More like a Royal Flush" was a good line, but I think the best line of cissy was "But it's not some hurt confused child. It's ERIC CARTMAN." followed by "Yes, but no one else is going to know that. Best to let him just have this one."
I don't even know who Lorde is... but I don't need to in order to get the joke.
You didn't need to know who Lorde is to get the joke because they weren't really attacking her like they did with Kanye, Tom Cruise, Travolta, etc. In fact I think they were nice/flattering towards her.
Yeah, I got the same feeling off of it. They were actually complimenting her.
I'm amazed by how they put this together so quickly. I know that it's all computerised now and takes only 3 days per episode, but that whole subplot based on the reaction to the previous episode then getting a real/famous singer in on the parody?
Was it going to be about that anyway and they tweak the plot to include the spin guy or did they cut an entire planned storyline to make way for this?
What is the Spin reporter a reference to?
Although I'm not sure how much was already made. They showed the scene of Cartman shitting in the girl's room in the commercials for the season before episode 1 even aired, so at least the meat of the story was already there and the Spin stuff was likely added last minute.
damn, that is pretty sweet
I watched the "lorde" episode stoned. I can never do that again. My chest hurts from having laughed so fucking hard at some of the lines in that episode. I missed most of what was said after Clit and Balls because I laughed so hard I almost puked. Usually South Park had not been that funny, but damn they nailed that episode.
I lost it with the song...
I don't know what this one is about.
i dont care, they just killed me with that matthew mconaghey line.
I didn't really like/get the first act but it won me over with the Matthew McConaughey shit and the Whacky Racers. Those car ads he did were just terrible. The first time I saw one everyone in the room started ripping on it. I was like, you couldn't possibly need car ad money.
edit - Kennen and Peele is aggressively unfunny.
This is by far the best season in years
did not know about MM shilling for Lincoln, linked for reference
The cab companies are lobbying hard against it trying to get taxes and fees imposed on the drivers and shit. Maybe that's where the beginning stemmed from. /shrug
they have uber here in NJ and in NYC, its the car with the fuzzy lips on the front. yeah it rocks, but cabbies hate it and so do the unions and the suits who want them to cough up taxes on their cabs.
The taxi commission in St. Louis lobbied to the get the Lyft app disabled in the city and county.
My favorite part of free market capitalism (and really, the entire American Dream) is where you lobby the government to hinder your competition.
I... didn't get it. Yeah I watched Wacky Races as a kid and I'm aware of apps replacing taxis. Only laugh was the retard saying reasonable things.
I didn't like the cripple summer episode either. A bit disappointed as this season has been excellent so far, no in season continuity this episode either other than the one Randy scene at the start.
So do we get to find out where that soft spoken asshole went in the next episode or will it be part of the trilogy?
and it's not like the cripples aren't funny one of the best episodes is timmy and jimmy in krazy krips, i mean 4 legs and roller!
the uber/lyft stuff was ok but predictable, the whacky races shit though was awesome i fucking loved dastardly and muttley as a kid, all those cartoon racing shows with like grape ape and stuff was the shit to veg out with a bowl of cereal
Yeah I have no idea what those characters are based on, they are terrible side characters. Do the episode with a focus on Timmy & Jimmy, the paralympics episode was great. Also you can't have a cripple episode without fucking Cartman in it, they are throwing away laughs.
I'm sure they could give half a fuck about not appealing to millennials for an episode here and there while they get self indulgent with the old 'toon references. Nevertheless, I didn't think the original summer camp episode was that strong either, even though it was a semi interesting concept for me having grown up with those old 'toons. Episode was just ok, taking on the Uber issue isn't terribly exciting but every season has its high and lower moments. Still entertaining, just not as good as the first two.

i loved bugs bunny, looney tunes and whacky races as a kid. i got all the references. i dont think this episode was epic, but the whacky race and the mconaughey digs were great. i also think matt and trey at this point only give a fuck about what they think is funny, which is totally cool with me because i am in their age range.
Seems to me that was the worst episode of the season thus far, if that remains the low bar for the season it will be an amazing season. Season has been great so far.
Re: MM - "Fake douchebag that everyone likes for some reason" was the perfect description
After watching that episode I want the Wacky Races to come back.
this is great
"Craigs moms bush Craigs moms bush"
So I tried to do my usual of running on the old treadmill and watching this on the tablet. Yeah, I had to jump off while laughing my ass off completely throwing off my rhythm and breathing like 4x.
