They're right around the sweetspot now on the early 90's.
i guess this is going on all weekend, they are playing all The Simpsons episode in chronological order WITH the extra gags they edited out for syndication. im seeing a lot of stuff i dont remember because i started watching in 94 and they are currently playing 1992 episodes. those old episodes are still timeless classics
Wait this can't be right. It won't be til Monday in the morning until we get to the City of New York vs Homer Simpson? This show was great for a lot longer than I realized.
that episode was one of the best of the later golden age. i think the last awesome one was the episode where they visited brazil (joo stupid leddy!!) whenever that was. basically this whole weekend will be ownage.
Monorail episode on right now

Simple episode guide:
4:3 aspect ratio = good
16:9 aspect ratio = meh
Having watched all the Simpsons, the first 12 seasons were really good. It was really good for a long time.
Really enjoying this thus far...perfect thing to have on while painting the house.

not sure why this is such a big deal. anyone who had an interest in this show torrented seasons 3-9 ages ago and called it a day
these episodes are remastered to widescreen/hd and have had their running times restored to their original airings.
I think that as long as James Brooks is alive, this show will be too. Even the latest season isn't bad, it's just mediocre. But after 50 years... how many more Bart stories can you really do.
They must just be going for an unbreakable record at this point. Broadcast television itself may not have enough time left for anyone to beat this run.
I've had it on in the background for most of the weekend. I think I'm getting close to my saturation point, though.
One day I hope to be as attractive and well spoken as Tuco!
I don't have FXX but I actually considered upgrading my package for this. Many good memories of that show.
I heard FXX's ratings have exploded since the marathon started. Personally it is the first time ever tuning into FXX despite watching all the previous seasons of Sunny and The League.
Heroes of the Storm Hotsdogs
Anyway, did they start with the true beginning? The Shorts from the Tracey Ulman show?
I can't say I agree with your statement.
So suddenly I get FXX when I didn't a couple days ago. Did directv give it to me just for the marathon?
My Simpsons worship started dwindling after Burns was shot. Still catch a random new episode every now and then. Flaming Moe is my all time fave ep.
Yellow Wedding. roflThere will be "no yellow wedding," he confirmed — shooting down the theory the writers might simply kill off all of Shearer's characters.

The Simpsons are still making history it seems. They did the first ever animated live Q&A session. Here is a link to a blurb about it and the Q&A clips.
