How Bones survived the cut for yet another year is befuddling.
Not surprised by most of them listed. Just sad to see Suburgatory and Neighbors go, started to like those.
How Bones survived the cut for yet another year is befuddling.
Not a single tear for any of those.
Trophy Wife canceled kind of sucks. It wasn't anything special, but Bradley Whitford is always awesome and the little Asian kid cracked me up usually. They were especially great together.
Raising Hope was just out of shit to do. Every episode was them remembering something horrible they did that traumatized Jimmy as a child. Funny show when it was good, but it was finished.
Enlisted was way better than it had any right to be.
Rake was...decent. Good enough that I'm going to try out the original Australian version at some point.
The ones I tried out that were flat out awful and didn't even deserve 1 episode: Dads, Back in the Game, The Crazy Ones, We Are Men.
Surviving Jack got cancelled? Was it even SHOWN? I remember seeing ads for it.
That and Being Human were the only two names I even recognized. heh. That list is a whole lotta "wut?". Well, besides for Raising Hope. That show was surprisingly not-retarded, it was actually sort of clever... but it's a fairly limited concept. I think 4 seasons is a big win for those writers.
Finally. The networks are catering to me!

Oh Hannibal, my love, I can't wait to see what you serve me in season three.
Apparently I actually was the only person who liked Star Crossed and The Tomorrow People.
Can't watch most shows on network tv anyway. Who watches this garbage. Arrow is probably the only show I watch on the regular outside of AMC/HBO.
How funny is The Goldbergs btw? I really enjoyed Jeff Garlin in Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Bye community! Had some good times and some bad times. So very little that's on TV that i even care about much anymore.
Nice to see The 100 renewed. Fingers crossed for Crisis.
Grey's Anatomy is still on? Good lord.
Wtf are you plugs still doing watching cable?
If you haven't seen it yet though I'd recommend Brooklyn 99 first, that is easily the funniest new comedy of the season. and it got renewed! Hurray, America did something right!
glad Dads got cancelled, that show was a serious piece of shit. guess I can delete Crazy ones from my dvr, never watched it

I found Sirens to be fairly funny on USA. Its a new comedy for this season.
Home Improvement 2.0 renewed? I'm happy.
Almost Human (Fox)
The futuristic sci-fi procedural was pulling in solid numbers for Fox, but rumor has it that financial disagreements with production company Warner Bros. TV may have contributed to its demise.
Only show I will miss on that list.
Mixology really was a terrible fucking show. It should have never even been aired.
Still confused why American dad is going to TBS
I'm surprised Suburgatory lasted that long.
My only show that got the axe was Community; finding my reaction to be mostly indifferent, even to the re-Harmonized version.
Trophy Wife is about the only thing depressing to me. It wasn't the best but there aren't many sitcoms we like and it was enjoyable.
This time of the year is always more depressing to see what crap is renewed.
how is dawsons new tv show, he was the only funny thing about bitch
ritter was pretty good except when she tried to be "good". the lead actress was goofy looking as fuck, like some sort of mario mushroom
im a little disappointed the michael j fox show didnt do well. not that i ever watched it or am interested in being bummed at watching michael j fox suffer through his illness. but i was sad that the chick from breaking bad is now out of a job. hope she catches on somewhere else.
Wife and I watched Friends with Better Lives to make up for the loss of HIMYM. It was OK. We laughed. Seemed the whole show was just raunchy sex jokes, some of which I was surprised they could air on network TV. Overall I liked it but not going to lose sleep that its canceled.
I've never seen an episode of any of those shows. I'm not sure how it happened, but I am pretty much not interested in any show that's on the big 4 networks these days. If it's on HBO/Showtime/FX/AMC I'm interested, if it's on NBC/Fox/CBS/ABC I don't even give it any consideration most of the time. The only network show I have watched in many years is Survivor.
My wife was really upset over Revolution. I was really pleased because she made me watch that show and it was the worst show I've ever seen.
LOST ended. You wrote a shitty ending. Stop trying to recreate the wheel.
PS. Please use less lens flares in the next Star Trek movie, it's really distracting and shitty.
He probably still watches The Challenge.
One day I hope to be as attractive and well spoken as Tuco!
I think the last network show I got into was LOST. Has there been something great that I missed in the last 5 years or so?

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is new and pretty great.
Community had 2 really good seasons sandwiched around an absolutely great season(2).
Hannibal is supposed to be amazing. I haven't watched it but folks I trust love it.
Bob's Burgers is outstanding. Started good and became great. Folks who say otherwise are retarded assholes who suck cock by choice.
New Girl is solid. Sometimes absolutely hilarious. First 2 seasons are funnier than the latest one, but it's still good.
I tried to watch P&R when it first came out and it was the shittiest fucking shit I've ever seen. I heard it got way better, but because of season 1 they are forever on my do not watch list.
So I didn't see any Brad Garrett episodes, I'd try them but doesn't seem like much point now.
Damn I'm a little sad Community got canceled. I had hopes they can turn it around.
doesnt Arrow count as broadcast TV? because arrow is the best godamned network tv show i have seen in years.
edit: Oh and on the subject of TV of the last 5 years. Try The Mindy Project. It is shockingly good. Latest season is on par with any other comedy out there on network TV.
S1 New Girl is great. S2 starts getting a little less. This latest season has had 3 or 4 really funny episodes, and the rest have been treading water. The guys make the show.
What surprised me is that they put Jess together with one of the guys from the loft at all. It's a good story leading UP to it, but once you do that you've got nowhere left to take the show. I just wonder if they thought they were about to get cancelled or something.
This past season wasn't all bad by any means. There were still some good jokes/scenes/episodes. It just wasn't up to the standard they'd set for themselves in s1 and even s2. This season was just an awkward mess of them realizing they sorta made a mistake and hitting the reset button.
Edit: Nick with his Park Bench Zen Buddy kills me.

I've actually had passing thoughts of bumping (creating?) the New Girl thread, cuz I thought it's been absolutely hilarious. Nick and Jess getting together hasn't bothered me in the slightest; I think it's been handled really well, IE funnily. If anything, the Schmidt/Cici relationship is a bit tired, but even that's amusing when it causes Winston to run off teasing Cici with "Cici's got a boyyyyfriend who used to be a faaaatty" lol
For my tastes, this show is like the height of 'weirdness' without being, for lack of a better word, meta. Compare it to Community. In Community, you have the school morphing into paintball arenas, future/retro caste society, a muppet episode and an episode in 8 bit pixels. That shit's weird. Funny, but weird, so knowing the 4th-wall-disregarding nature of the show, it works. Whereas with New Girl, it's just a bunch of really zany people. Nick's love/hate relationship with technology and his conversations with a mute Asian man, Schmidt's arrogance and anger, Coach being suave one minute and totally goofy the next, and then fucking Winston who's gone off the deep end (in a good way) this season. Oh and then the girls sometimes do some things, ideally involving their shirts not being on.
Oh btw I thought The Neighbors was pretty funny too. The two big negatives were it was a bit sitcommy at times and I really didn't care for the youngest alien kid (he and the asian girl from Modern Family are so painfully rigid in their delivery), but besides that there were some really funny bits. Not on the level of P&R, New Girl etc but still way above most of the other comedies out there.

Haven't even heard of half the shows that got cancelled which is a big marketing problem too.
Zooey Deschanel grates on every one of my nerves. I cannot stand her, therefore New Girl will never be watched in my house. She is an atrocious actress and an even worse singer. Why the hell is she so popular?
I definitely think she's cute, and I don't hate her at all, but I don't really get the fascination either.
The enjoyment I had for New Girl was in spite of Zooey. The show has a strong supporting cast that works well together. But I find myself enjoying the show less and less as time goes on, and I think that's because rather than toning down Zooey to play to the strengths of the ensemble, they've instead ratcheted up the zaniness of the rest of the characters to fit better with her. Each character has become a caricature of what they were in earlier episodes. I mean, Winston is practically a psychopath at this point.
I think not knowing who the fuck Zooey Deschanel was, besides for Bones' sister, was a blessing when it came to this.
I wouldn't watch a sitcom starring Jessica Simpson. And if it had as good of a supporting cast as New Girl does/did, then it would be my loss!
Wow I have no taste. I actually grew to like Revolution after the terribad 1st season. While I was expecting them to get canceled all season, I kind of hate to see it go without it coming to a real conclusion. That is part of my problem... even if a show is terrible if it has an overall arc I usually stick with it because I feel like I need to see how it all wraps up. Unless it just goes off the rails like Revenge did... that shit just got stupid and then got 90210. I'm absolutely stunned it wasn't on that list, actually.
