Some folk metal?
I've been listening to this whole album for probably all week, too many link-worthy songs.
I think I just really love this band.
fuck yeah @ vektor

Who is the hottest / best performing chick in metal? If you've got someone you feel is worth their salt, post away. Should be interesting to see what we turn up. My nomination:
Hey its Christmas time right? This counts...
I love The Agonist. However, my vote must go towards Candace from Walls of Jericho in terms of energy and performance.
My vote for hottest chick in metal is Elize Ryd from Amaranthe
Magali Luyten Beautiful Sin & Virus IV is great also
Saw Vildhjńrta above so might aswell post some more djent.. all of these guys below are from the same town(Umeň). This stuff is usallly hate or love. Especially Catch 33 and Special Defects. The one with Mats & Morgan is prog rock but grew up in the same age and community as Meshuggah so is still relevant-

I'm sure some of you have probably seen this before but just in case not, I thought now would be a good time to post it with this thread starting over.
Does this thing seem pretty accurate? What do you guys think?
Hell yea @ the Amorphis stuff posted. How bout some Hypocrisy or Insomnium?
I'm always worried that metal I enjoy is, unbeknownst to me, some nazi shit. I've enjoyed the Blut Aus Nord: 777 trilogy. I am concerned they may be on that nazi stuff though, can anyone confirm they are not?
/edit Stereogum's Top 40 Metal list.
Creepy, melodic, and beautiful. For some reason, I can listen to this all day...
Merry Xmas jingle your bells.....

If you ever get nostalgic for the late 80's / early 90's thrash sound like Nuclear Assault, Exodus, DRI, MOD, SOD, Anthrax, etc. check out Municipal Waste. Their latest 3 albums almost every track is pretty decent and their videos are fairly well done.
http://www.metal-archives.com/ to look up band info you should be. No mention of nazi or national socialist ties to Blut Aus Nord, other than that their name is German (and grammatically incorrect according to metal archives).
I have never had any issue with listening to band I know are NSBM. I am not a nazi, listening to nazi music doesn't make me one.
Megadeth sound check...
Nick Menza in his prime, one of my favorite drummers...
Not enough posts going on in this thread. Lurkers post goddamnit!
Here's more Primus for your sorry asses. Bow down to your bass god, Les Claypool.

Edit: Nm he should be forced to do both,

Went to see Ritchie Blackmore last night. Sigh, wtf is he doing? So disappointed, usually he splits the show and does half bullshit, then takes out the white strat and does the good shit.
Nothing on this night. Ruined my Christmas. Thanks Ritchie.
In other news:
One of my favorite Tony Martin era songs.

Both of those seemed so generic. Not bad necessarily, just nothing new or interesting imo.
I've been on a King Diamond kick the last few days..
old school, from Anthrax's best album imo
Have you ever thought..."I like Necrophagist, but I wish they had more clarinet"? Well wish no more!
Was just about to post Stabwound, but that will do. That, is, awesome.
I like this kid a lot, plays all of the instruments in the songs he composes, one man band. Pretty heavy song he put together:

That fucking Necrophagist clarinet cover was pretty funny. Love it.
Love, love, love this album. The album cover is pretty sweet, too.
Local band that some friends are in, check them out.

Kind of light rock black metal with a Beatles reference around the 6:50 mark. Anyone looking to get into black metal, this is a pretty easy in.
Light rock black metal, that's a new one. Kinda reminds me of Beatrik

Good ol' Uncle Al (Ministry). Few years old but still awesome.
How it is, bros? Anyone able to recover my avatar from FoH?
Here's a classic that you'll remember.
Great band! (Reminds me a little of Opeth)
