Will this be the place for the Black Monday festivities?
The most important question this offseason: What will the Rams do with all their picks?!
Will this be the place for the Black Monday festivities?
I can't believe the Browns fired Chud. How did that franchise get even more dysfunctional?
This is the same franchise that fired Bill Belichick in 1996

Naw, Lombardi is gonna want a champion who studied under the best. He's gonna want Josh McDaniels.
Yay 4 1/2 months of talk about whether the Rams should take Clowney or trade their pick.

Seriously doubt the Rams are looking at a QB in the first round. Like it or not they've got a ton of cap tied up in Bradford still and think he is the man going forward.
Chargers vs. Seattle for the Super Bowl.
Game is going to be 48 to 34 in favor of the Chargers.
That is all.

Bears Off-season Plan:
1. Fire entire D coaching staff
2. Decline to re-sign any veteran on D
4. Hello Monsters of the Midway
But this is George Halas's daughter we're talking about here so I'm sure everybody will be signed on the cheap and nothing will change.
All I want for Black Monday is a every single coach in Dallas removed, also bring in a new strength and conditioning team along with the best and brightest doctors and trainers that know how to keep people from pulling hamstrings and getting injured.
Will never happen with Jones running things.
The last 3 Super Bowl champs have not only beaten the Eagles in their home opener, but they also went on to lose to the Redskins and beat Dallas and New York in the same season.
^-- The Chargers did this.

Giants need to resign Linval Joseph and Jon Beason.
I'm wondering what will happen with Nicks and Eli's contract. He has to be extended at some point, his cap hit is just WAY too fucking high. I'm guessing Nicks is gone. :\ Any thoughts of where he ends up?
After the year he had, Im not sure he will be getting top dollar. (nicks)
Wide Receiver Comps
DeSean Jackson Mike Wallace Hakeem Nicks
Pre-FA Year Avg. 57 rec, 1,041 yds, 6 TDs 57 rec, 1,068 yds, 8 TDs 64 rec, 932 yds, 7 TDs
FA Year 58 rec, 961 yds, 4 TDs 64 rec, 836 yds, 8 TDs 67 rec, 992 yds, 0 TDs
Both Jackson and Wallace got huge deals. And Nicks is definitely the most complete player of the three. Someone will throw tons of cash at him. Panthers?
Hoping the bears bring cutler back, I have seen way too many shitty qbs in the nfl. In the end it was the fucking historically bad defense that let the bears down, not cutler. The brees/brady/manning/rodgers of the world are exceedingly rare so fuck trying to gamble and getting stuck with another grossman. Revamp the shit out of the defense and keep the offense pieces together and this is a team that will be in the running to win the division again next year.
lol at thinking

and wanting cutler back.
EDIT sorry had to laugh, but the rest of your post sounds sound.
Jim Schwartz, gone.
I think getting actually good players instead of Mike Williams, Charles Rodgers etc probably had more to do with it.
Neither of which were on out 2008, 0-16 team. Calvin Johnson was though.
Schwartz was given almost full power in the draft so again, it was him who turned it around...one of many reasons was drafting better.
I guess I have a hard time understanding firing someone without having someone in-line to take the job. I guess I'd rather stick with my "8-8 coach" and hope he works stuff out to get better, than toss him and not have a clear improvement lined up.
Also, I think the Rooney Rule is kinda awful.
My post was a joke. Don't think either of them have interest in coaching the Lions, especially Gruden.
Rams have #2 and #13 thx to that trade.....so much for Fisher saying they wouldn't draft 2nd again. Clowney or Matthews. Steelers better fkn clean house this yr.
Unpopular opinion but I'm kind of glad they didn't get rid of Garrett. This entire season was snake bitten from the moment Training Camp started. It's a wonder they were even in that game against Philly with everything that went wrong this year, but there they were, one drive and a Bailey FG away from going into the playoffs (where they would have lost against the Saints, let's be clear here). I say give the man his last contract year, a defensive minded draft, and maybe bring in Norv to run the offense. And hope the football Gods are kinder to our IR list in 2014.
Good luck to whichever sucker team decides to sign Michael Oher.
What's wrong with Michael Oher?
Which only goes to show how stupid of a stat it is. I really hope the Chargers win it, but if they do, it won't be because they faced the Eagles in their home opener or because some guy pissed in a 45º angle at exactly 0:01 of February 1st. It will be because they will be the better team.
Bridgewater is good but some of the defensive players coming out seem really good too. Let's trade the pick to Cleveland for both of their first, take Clowney, Matthews or Barr #4 and whatever QB falls to the Colts pick (Johnny Football!?)
I'm just hoping Lovie Smith ends up coaching the Bucs and we continue to draft well. Really all I can ask for at this point.
also: don't hire Bill O'Brien
I'd much rather have Smith than the Shanahans.
The Browns are going to hire Josh McDaniels, trade away their draft to move up to #2 for Johnny Football, and Josh Gordon will be suspended for next year after getting caught with some purple drank again. Real fucking excited for this offseason let me tell you woohooooooo.
Its easier to speculate on known commodities for most of us. Since McDaniels was mentioned, that's another I'd want no part of. I'd sooner see Lovie or fucking Norv Turner or Martyball come to town than McDaniels or Shanny.
San Fran is losing their O Line coach to USC. Hope it doesn't affect them too much, cause their O Line has been solid for a few years now.
Yeah, part of me hope Roman goes as well. My only fear with that is you just don't know who will replace him, and it could get worse.
People see Lovie Smith's record and disregard all the facts on how shitty of an actual game coach he was.
I hope the Lions get Gruden or Cowher, fuck that Lovie guy.
Lovie and Trestman are just opposite sides of the same coin. Most of Smith's offenses were almost as inept as this years defense was. Fortunately for him very strong defenses can cover much better for a weak offense then when it is the other way around. Abefroman is right though. Lovie is not an above average coach. I already linked an article regarding just how abysmal he was against teams over five hundred during his tenure. Of course you expect a drop off when you look at a coaches winning percentage against quality opponents, but his didn't drop off. It jumped off the damn cliff. So whatever team ends up hiring him should look forward to a team hovering around five hundred for the most part without ever really being a contender or being bad enough to get quality draft positions to improve your team.
His one Superbowl appearance was a result of freakishly good D even by Bears standards, an uncharacteristic season from Grossman, and some of the luckiest turn overs in the bears favor I have ever seen. That year was an outlier, not an indicator of what you will be getting with Lovie.
all right, fuck all you guys, it will be Gruden or Dungy.
There's almost 0 chance Gruden is coaching anyone other than the MNF guys on where to put his Coronas.
@tarrant. You are better then that. You damn well know cutler had to start those games so they could make the move whether to keep him or not.
You too. Happy new years. Trust me you don't want lovie. You're team has a better future the the bears.
Teddy Bridgewater has decided to declare for the draft. He might as well start looking at houses in Houston now.
Johnny Manziel, come on down!!!
Should Johnny Manziel be the No. 1 overall pick over Jadeveon Clowney in the NFL Draft? Kliff Kingsbury and Clay Travis say yes, but Peter Schrager says no way. | FOX Sports on MSN
Who is giving the Rams 3 first rounders and a 2nd for the #2??!
Lovie is still coaching his 20 year old tampa 2 that he learned in mid-90s
i wouldnt hire that guy
Probably a good hire...you'd think they'd want a no-nonsense guy down there after the kind of circus-like atmosphere you had with Schiano at times.
he'll probably get them to .500 but thats not a coach that will take that team far into the playoffs if at all
the bucs roster is a dumpster fire and their quarterback... well lets just say that lovie will yearn for the days of Rex Grossman
LOL Bucs. Out of town stupid at it's finest. Enjoy blowing all your timeouts before half-time and drafting a garbage safety with every third round pick.
