Looks less terrible than other seasons. I don't trust it, and yet I'll still watch it.
AMC released a character prediction video for what might happen on season 5. This is NOT a trailer... just some of the actors being asked what they think will happen.

I am amazed they did not show the Governor its not like he wont be in some part next year, along with new head bad guy.
Example they could have shown the Governor looking even crazier then before.
I'm sure it's the governor that was feeding the walkers, luring them to the prison.
I'm 90% sure that trailer showed almost the full season too. Time will tell.
season 3 was some of the worst television i've ever seen and it's only going to get worse.
Im still done with this shit. I do not tolerate milking a storyline for 2 seasons when it should have easily concluded in one.
bah! i mean it this time! my inner nerd, says "yay, more zombies!" my outer adult says, "this show is fucking horrible and i hate everyone and every non zombie thing in it." so yeah its a struggle, but im going to stick to it.
As awful as the show is, the makeup department looks to be on top of their game still. I like how the walkers are getting more decayed as the seasons are going on.
Judging from the preview and the mannerisms/actions of certain characters, I'm guessing Tyrese's sister and Maggie's sister and/or father get killed.
It finally looks like a bad ass zombie show. But most likely too late.
I feel like I just watched all the good scenes from the entire season. Am not planning to watch.
Prob only thing that could get me to watch is if they left the prison in episode one and narrowed it down to all the cool characters.

I won't watch. I'll just read the spoilers and complaints afterward. I found that to be much more enjoyable.

its a great show if you watch it with other people pointing out stupid and hoping soandso dies makes it one of my top 10 shows currently.
i find it funny this show has so many levels of love and hate
It can only be better than last season, particularly the finale. They'd have to try very hard in order to prevent season 4 from being an improvement.
What else is there to watch on Sunday night anyway? A bad zombie show is better than what I'm watching in that time slot now, which is nothing.
Thats what im most worried about Bral. There isnt shit on sunday nights and I might start watching again out of habit. I hope there are some good new shows coming out for the fall season.
I don't know if I'll watch or not. Last season was bad, I don't want to watch again. But Breaking Bad will be over, I won't have much else to watch. idk, we'll see, but right now I am in the "not unless you guys say it is suddenly awesome" camp.
Meh, I have no idea where they are going with anything in this show anymore... Will torrent it.
I see D'angelo Barksdale is in this season, I approve of this shhhhhiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttttttttt
So it's settled then. See all of you in October!
not so fast, Mr Froman.
BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION, CAN'T WAIT TO DISCUSS WITH YOU PALS!
I find it impossible not to read that last one in Herschel's voice.
You guys dont want me watching this show, I was hostile as fuck last season.
Seriously, how the fuck did they not know about the GIANT GAPING FUCKING HOLE in the wall and fence and buildings...god dammit I hate this show.
now if on the other hand we all agree to watch this show just to troll the everliving shit out of it. that appeals to me. but it will severely rustle my jimmies just to have to see this clusterfuck every week. my friend still loves this show and when he asked me "do you watch Walking dead?, i proceeded to fully vent and explain why its the worst thing since unsliced bread. he no longer brings it up.
Stop looking for an out to be able to post about the show. Watch it or don't but don't use us to try to justify why you're watching it to the rest of us. We all knew you were going to watch it anyways.
nah man i swear im done with this show. i have no urge to ever watch it again. even my inner nerd who likes zombies agrees with me that zombies dont equalize the 90% terribad of the rest of the show. i can skip shows. still havent bothered with dexter and i invested seven years of my life in that shit. i also havent bothered with season 3 of the killing and i did break down and watch season 2 after it was finished just so i wouldnt help its ratings but was still curious who did it because of season 1.
To be fair, he was just checking the fence in that meme scene. Remember, the 1st night they just chilled out in the yard and made a plan to start cleaning out the prison. He didn't actually walk around the whole prison.
yeah, i did. and it was an utterly horrible thing that i did to myself in the name of trying to get laid. they also did not resolve story by the end of season 1. i will not be watching season 2. even the potential of 25 yo fine italian pussy will not make me continue watching that travesty

ok, i'm a TWD comic reader, i watched s1,... thought nice homage, halfway through s2, i'm like wtf is this slow ass?... then angry
s3, every episode made me angry! until the wife (i think she died s2, whatever!) and andrea died, then i was like yes!
s4... you know from a comic reader's perspective, this looks like "the prision" 2.0, like this was the s3 you were supposed to get.
but... don't get your hopes up.
I don't see how you guys were able to watch past the first season. The episode with the Mexican gangbangers driving around in a low rider doing gangster shit during the fucking apocalypse was fucking retarded. It turning out they were just trying to protect their grandparents and an eldery assisted living facility was something that you'd see in a shitty after school special for kids.
Even then it was a stupid fucking lesson. "Hey kids, if you get attacked by Mexican gang bangers who kidnap a friend of yours, that makes you a racist."
So they end up executing the mexicans and leave the old people with severe dementia to be confused as shit and eaten by the zombies??
If that's true then I'm in.
No, they executed most of the old people too ;P
3 Part Webisode series. Fairly decent, although given the implied location of the webisode, it kind of makes you wonder about someone else that should have been there at the sametime.
The Walking Dead - The Walking Dead Webisodes: The Oath, Part 1 AMC
trying to remind myself why i vowed never gonna watch TWD again.
ran across this today.
that'll do. that'll do
Can't help myself. I'll be watching tonight.
I'll be watching, I'm watching the marathon now and letting the hate rise.
and boredom wins.
this show still sucks. somebody please find me something else to watch.
didnt these idiots notice the shitload of zombies up on the roof from far away as they drove up? and holy shit if that roof was so soft why hadnt they fallen through before? do roofs even go bad in such a short period of time?

What the fuck, just randomly falling through the roof, god this show is bad
it doesnt make any damned sense. assuming these zombies got up there when the helicopter crash landed and died. wouldnt the heaviest thing, the helicopter be the first thing to fall through the roof? oh great more posh english chick stuck in georgia
well at least she was just filler.
Whatever happened to that negro Tyrone? He was a major character in the comics and was reduced to a bit part on the show.
this prison still looks like people just got there. what the fuck? such bad television.

I thought it was an overall good episode, save for that stupid helicopter. I like the way that things were evolving in it and look forward to perhaps the show returning to season 1 form.
Once the lady in the woods started talking about her husband, I knew he was a walker. And ya, the heli on the roof was pretty dumb since it appears it was just a wooden roof or w/e.
As for that disease, it could be that or the kid may have been poisoned. I'm guessing the later since no one else has the issue.
yeah dude, ill go all queer eye on that shit.
I guess we're supposed to forget the "doc" used to be a country vet? Who seems to know a lot about plants but isn't even asked why the fucking pig is sick?
Also, I would guess influenza, except that kid died way too fast. Something similar, though.
Even the wife mentioned the roof ('why all of a sudden do they start dropping down as soon as the group shows up' which I think is the exact quote) and this is from someone that doesn't usually critique the show that much. Also keep in mind, I didn't think this isn't their first run to Big Lots, you would think they would of figured out there was about 30-40 zombies on the roof.
Rest of the episode was ok. I got to admit, when I first saw the girl in the woods, I thought she was a talking zombie.
Didn't read the comics... Did TWD have live people who started to act like zombies similar to WWZ?
Never read the comics...
from what i recall reading prior to the show starting this season, the producers said "you will be seeing new things this season, things we have not introduced before" or something like that.
roof scene - that was pretty bad, forget the roof cave in crap, they "hooked up a boombox 2 days ago to 2 car batteries" yet the walkers on the roof never heard it or they would have just walked off the edge trying to get to it. I'll just pretend it never happened...
Kid dying - the only thing i can think of here is why they focused on him during the giving out breakfast scene, where he said how thankful he was to Daryl and asked to shake his hand... and they focused on Daryl licking his fingers first then shaking the kids hand.... not sure if this may have something to do with it.
Dead Pig - can we possibly see a mutation to the virus that affects animals now? Zombie pig
The first zombie falling through the roof and swinging by its intestines was fucking awesome! The first one made sense, it looked as if all the decomposition rotted the wood, but yeah after that all the random holes opening up at the same time was kinda silly.
Dead pig and the dead kid lead me to believe contaminated water maybe?
Maybe, but too many people drink from shared water sources. My guess is this: Someone decides to test a poison on the pig to see if it works. When it works, he/she decides to test it on a child (easier than trying it vs. an adult, since they would be more vulnerable). Don't forget the kid dropped pretty fast and Carl/Rick's reaction to the pig suggests it was a recent turn of events.
I didn't have a problem with the roof scene. The helicopter weakened the roof, a couple years of rain and other weather to weaken it more, they heard a sound from below, moved towards it and started falling in. Maybe the contractor skimped on parts in that area. Even if it was implausible, so what? It's a zombie show.
But just all dropping in all over on all sides randomly is horrible. If they all poured through the same hole I could have accepted it.
Rick kept making eye contact with that one walker with Bleeding eyes at the fence. Then he would see the Pig. Then the kid dies a similar fashion and has bloody eyes. So I doubt its Internal poisoning when that Walker died the same way. I bet they go some form of plague. WIth the rotting dead all over and constant contact with them there has to be some kind of nasty infections waiting to happen.
Also, My wife thought that the crazy lady was like some kind of dead. She was convinced she was like a living Zombie.
I successfully avoided watching this season's opener. I'm better than all of you
Lol, for a few moments I thought the same, if only because the show runners kept talking about making walkers scary again this season/them evolving. "Send...more...paramedics..."Also, My wife thought that the crazy lady was like some kind of dead. She was convinced she was like a living Zombie.
I thought she was an intelligent zombie too. I figured that might be the case at first because it seemed that if you cleaned her up a little she'd be fairly attractive, which would make us sympathize more when she was constantly under threat of death from other members of the group. But alas, they went the more cliched and obvious route.
I will admit, I laughed my ass off when she changed the 30 days without an accident back to 0. That might make me a bad person, but it was funny as hell.
for the walking dead, thought it was one of their better efforts.
Astrocreep: Makes posts about how he's done with the show. Has more posts than anyone else after episode airs.
not saying i believe it would, but it was partly on top of smaller building

Were the writers replaced after the second season? Seasons 1 and 2 were awesome and I'm just wondering how it could have become the worst show on television.
No clue how people liked season 2. That farm was beyond boring. The only redeeming quality of that season was the final standoff with Shane.
Season 2 wasn't action-packed but it had a lot of character development.

but then again we don't know how much they want to take from TWD comics material, since they've stated they want to be different.
i really don't care for this crappy show, i just want to see Glenn be happy with Maggie. An asian guy with the hottest white girl on the show is an amazing concept, which is weird cuz in the comics she's "ok" looking and as annoying as season3 andrea was (you just wanted maggie to die). Not tv maggie, just show tv maggie and glenn(tv/game/comics he's awesome in any but tv is the best portrayal) living it up in a prison doing food runs, while Glenn has quite possibly is the only man on Earth who has to deal with a Father-in-law that's alive and kinda grumpy cuz he's got one leg.
I kind of dread the episode were Maggie gets pregnant and Glenn is ok with it, because you know the writers are going to stab you in the feels shortly thereafter.
