I loves me some DLM and CBB, but I can't imagine enough interest to warrant an entire forum.
Podcasts have become such a common thing now, perhaps they should have their own forum in the Entertainment Section? Throw Radio Shows in there too for Stern Fans and O&A etc
Maybe just make a catch-all thread in the music house about it.
Not sure a single thread would work, unless someone was to keep updating the first post with all the suggested podcasts etc. That seems like way more work compared to a forum or sub forum.
Will you start a poll in what you feel would be the most appropriate section?
Entertainment seems like it makes the most sense. That's where all the other media forums are.

If you're gonna do a poll I'd say probably do it in General honestly. Podcasts/Radio Shows don't properly fit any current media house so just aim for the biggest audience I guess.
We did have a Podcast thread in General on FoH for a while, and one in the Music House. If someone wanted to make one there or in the Music House I'd be willing to help keep a first post relatively updated. Just keep it clean and categorized to start and encourage people to make their submissions in a similar fashion.
The more I think about it, I think the TV House could be expanded to include Podcasts. Basically it is episode based discussion ... thoughts?
Just toss a single thread in Music House and be done with it.

A podcast/radio sub forum would be nice. Quite a few good NPR shows that could promote some nice discussion such as radio lab or this american life.
Not another sub-forum with less than 2k posts please....
I would love to have a Podcast sub-forum and I would use the hell out of it. Here are the shows I'm subscribed to:
- BS Report
- Grantland Sports
- Grantland Pop Culture
- Joe Rogan Experience
- Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast
- Dan Carlin's Hardcore History
- Game Scoop!
- Game Informer Show
- The Champs
- Keepin' It Reel
- Star Talk Radio with Neil DeGrasse Tyson
A place to discuss current episodes with other listeners would be awesome. Not to mention, being turned on to other podcasts that you hadn't heard of before.
Why don't you just start threads about these in the music house if they're so interesting? Surely people will post.

I don't see how Podcasts and the Music forum have anything more in common than the topic of "walking to work" and discussing it in the Sports forum.
I don't give a shit either way. All I am saying is that if the sub-forum were created, I would use it.
This will draw in people.
All of these people that are supposedly hiding out there waiting for a proper area to post about podcasts will post in the thread.
The thread will hit at least a second page and will have way too much information.
A sub-forum will be made.

I agree that you don't want a subforum until you hit critical mass with something. At least in my experience running boards over the years, having a subforum without much traffic just means nobody ever clicks on it. You are much better off to have a thread in an active subforum and if your topic starts spamming up the other forum to the point where people start complaining about it, then you probably have enough interest to merit a subforum.
I love podcasts FWIW.
