14 and playing at the masters just is incredible. Hope he does well.
Tiger is on the prowl.
Here comes the Masters.
Which mod change the title? If you don't know what the fed ex cup is, its best you leave the thread and leave it be.
ya mad because no one cares
stick to the NFL thread. actually, don't.. ever post there ever again.
With the way Tiger is putting lately, I can't see anyone catching him this year at the Masters. I think he wins, but probably not wire to wire given he has only ever shot under 70 in the first round 1 time.
Pulling for Tiger to be in the thick of it - but hoping my little homie Fowler wins it. He's young, but talented as fuck.
Fowler is the only player in history to post 2 bogies in the same 18 and still score -4 at Augusta. Pretty solid
Haha I'm watching the live streams online with no sound from work. You can't imagine how frustrating it is to see Furyk or someone I care to see hit one nice shot, and then the feed cuts to someone I've never heard of. Sad fucking times... at least I'll get to see Tiger in a few hours when he comes around Amen Corner
edit: FUUUUUUUUUUUU show me Tiger's birdies you livestream you!

Woods on the move, wish they were showing him play already. Tied for the lead at 5 under.
Once Furyk finishes I guess that crew is switching to follow Tiger's group. Naturally that will be at the exact time I leave work and commute home.
Ya, I may stop watching now and just watch the repet later on.
Tiger is a freak of nature.
Nike is going to be all over Tianlang Guan for making the cut even after getting penalized for slow play. Kid is pretty phenomenal.
I love Fowler as a character, but he's not going to win anything big because he doesn't have the touch. He's pure power and no control.
Tiger winning this weekend will come down to the third round. If he goes low he probably wins. But if he has another grind it out day he will finish top 10 but I don't think he will win.
I wake up and apparently Tiger is in danger of being DQed cause of the drop on 15 that he took. They were investigating whether his drop should have incurred a 2 stroke penalty which would then mean that Tiger signed an incorrect card and lead to instant DQ.
*edit* Apparently he gets to stay but is being assessed a 2 shot penalty for that drop. Well it just got harder for him to win even if he goes low today.
Tiger putts better than anyone. His score from yesterday came from drives in the fairway.
EDIT wow .... penalties are fucking everyone.

Hole 15 fucked Tiger hard
I didnt get to watch any action today, out shopping for a upcoming trip. Still haven't checked the leader board. Normally golf channel runs the repeat but yet so far.
I think an Aussie takes it this year, Scott or Day
Holy shit that putt by Scott.. and that 2nd shot by Angel.... god damn some clutch shit going on right now
Called it! Adam Scott both putts in the playoff were nuts
Looking forward to this weekend. The Players is one of my favorites of the year. TPC Sawgrass is just fucking mean.

$410 according to website, lol. But the hotels offer packages periodically in the offseason that includes (really iphone, in Kurds?) 2 rounds and 3 nights for like $500. Can't go wrong.
Back to back 67s for Tiger. Beating his old 2 day record at Sawgrass by 6 shots.
Final pairing with Sergio and Tiger, Tiger is 6-0 vs Sergio. He has also won the tournament all 6 times.
Going to be a good Sunday. Hopefully can sneak it onto the TV while hanging out with the mom.
EDIT Looking at the forecast might be a good Monday,

I think DHL is gonna take it this year.

the idiot who plays blessed shield with no jenkebabobob or foote
After 14 I can't believe Tiger won. I honestly thought Sergio would beat him this time.
Thats what happens when you put your tee shot into the water 3 times in 2 holes. He closed quad bogey/double bogey and finished the day with a 76
Sergio is a great player, but at the same time can't seem to finish.
Not sure if it belongs here or not... but since this is the only golf thread. Ken Venturi died today, 12 days after being inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Anchored putting has been banned starting in the 2016 season. Keegan and Scott better figure out how to putt without anchoring very soon
The PGA actually still has to decide whether they want to adopt the rule or not. They've been on the record as being against it for a while but they're all for standardized rules across all of the organizations so they may roll with it anyway.
Nice to see Sergio showing his true colors again (http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sergio-...014400389.html). I'd almost forgotten what a complete bitch he is since he's been irrelevant for so long.
Yeah that should be a fun group to watch. Although Merion is having issues with the rain. They are going to use 2 holes from another course because I think 11/12 are unplayable thanks to the rain
I'm not familiar with Merion, does it have multiple courses?
Thats what ESPN was saying the other day. I am unfamiliar with it myself.
Here is the article on ESPN: http://espn.go.com/golf/usopen13/sto...ned-heavy-rain

Yeah Merion has an East and West Course.... So I found out today that a town over from where I work is this mysterious golf course called Morefar Back O'Beyond. Apparently it's owned by AIG, and if beyond secretive/private.
Basically I can't sleep until I find an AIG executive and play this course. Google it - it's pretty cool.
Interesting article about Mickelson. I'm not really a fan, mainly because he's been Tiger's biggest competition for the last 15 years and I'm an unabashed Tiger fan. I can't really say why I don't like him, which the article alludes to. Just something kinda smarmy. Too preppy? Too country club? Too "I just got done yacht racing and I'm ready to play some golf guys" look? I know he gives a ton to charities and every one swears he's the nicest guy. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON'T CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE.
I just want to know why Phil is wearing pinstriped suit pants today. He's playing well though. Another year where Tiger starts off hot and doesn't snag a major? Definitely could be. Funny that my man Rickie Fowler started day 16th, before teeing off this afternoon was already in 4th, ha. Should be a tight weekend.
Tiger's definitely not out of this thing yet. I mean he shot 70 today on a tough scoring day and has an injured elbow to boot.
Doesn't Lefty always wear pinstriped suit pants?
I have zero idea about who wins this thing on Sunday. Anyone hazard a guess on a winning score? Provided there is no more rain, I am thinking the winning score will be about even par. Despite what the press wanted everyone to believe that this course will be easy cause its so 'short'.
I have no clue, weather should be nice from here on out, the course will change rapidly at this point.
I went to ESPN, they usually have golf scores front and center up top during majors.
It was showing fucking cricket. What the motherfuck? I wanted to clear my history more than after a savage and shameful jerk session to the most depraved tranny horse midget gorilla porn...
Really pulling for my man Mahan today - would be good for a Poke to win the Open. Course is playing unbelievably tough. Horschel, what the fuck is with these pants HAHAHA.
Great, brutal tourney. Second again for big Phil. Good for Rose, played great golf today.
What a great finish to this Open. Was sad not to see Phil win it. Thought for sure after that eagle on 10 he would use that as momentum to keep going and win it. God damn he had a lot of putts lip out.
Phil Mickelson - Always a Bridesmaid, never the Bride. At the US Open at least.
The putter used to win the US open is the one I got last week. Now if only I could get it to work like that...
I would hate to see my score over 4 rounds at Merion with Rose winning with a +1. Have to wonder if I would have any clubs left by the end of it.
How about hitting a 98 yard sand wedge from the tee, watching it hit the green, and then end up somewhere in the rough 50 yards away?
LOL, dumbass couldn't finish it using a pussy putter.
So who is everyone's pick for the Open this weekend. I want to believe Tiger will win it, but I can't get there. Lefty played well in the Scottish open last week, and while he has never done well back to back like that, I think he might actually win it this weekend.
Meant to post a pick earlier this week, but got caught up with work. Woods should take this down if he plays well today.
Great round of golf by Lefty. Woods continues to struggle over the weekend in a major. Killer instinct, extinct.
I didn't look at the winner till it got cut off. Huge win for Mickelson. Back to back even.
Was a great round of golf for Lefty. I am glad he won today. I agree with what he said afterwards, was probably the best round of golf he has ever played.
Good pick Gankak. I bet on 5 players (Zach Johnson, Stenson, Snedeker, Spieth, Rory) and came pretty close but I was really afraid of Phil going into it... probably should have taken him but the odds weren't favorable. It kind of sucks for Phil that he's so relatively underrated because he's stuck playing in Tiger's era. He's just flat out better than everyone other than Tiger and there's usually not much recognition of it (media is constantly trying to catapult people up to Tiger status without even mentioning Phil -- any young stud would be lucky as fuck to ever get to Phil's level).
Phil really does get the short end of the stick, this morning most of the headlines are about Tiger instead of Phil winning
Tiger crushing it this week, 7 stroke lead going into the final day is ridiculous.
I believe that tiger has won he Bridgestone before each of his PGA wins.
Get the feeling it won't be someone from the US. Can see Adam Scott or Graham McDowell pulling out a win.
Anyone else get the feeling Tiger is or has been on the juice? He sure has gotten a lot bigger since his knee injury. Personally, I think has been and seemingly still going. He definitely doesn't have a natural look to him anymore.
They were always making a big deal about that his first 5 years or so. How his workout routine was forcing other golfers to actually get in good shape. And in hindsight it makes sense, how many Craig Stadler types do you see winning tournaments these days? I don't follow the whole tour super close, but I can't think of many guys I see out there competing regularly who look like some of the guys winning 10-20 years ago. These guys in their 20's came up idolizing Woods, it makes sense they'd train like him.
But yeah, he's probably been juicing the whole time. Because sports.
Phil Mickelson, in flip flops again, remembers last minute to register for PGA Championship.
Phil Mickelson was not slated to show up at Oak Hill on Wednesday, but itís a good thing he did. Seems the reigning British Open winner suddenly remembered he had not registered for this weekís PGA Championship, according to GolfChannel.comís Jason Sobel.
Lefty, whose head may still be in the clouds after lifting his first-ever Claret Jug two weeks ago, arrived at the course in casual wear (the man who specializes in the flop shot is clearly a fan of the flip flop), to sign up for the seasonís final major.
That shit looks like it was filmed for a movie or something. So weird to see such a professional shot for a guy looking so casual.
Dufner, two holes to go... has a chance to break hogans 18 hole record.
So after the cut who does everyone like to win? I think Dufner breaks through and wins his first major this time.
Still looking Adam Scott at this point. Dufner just had the round of his life, don't think he will follow up well. Furyk looks good too.
Edit fuck kuchar as well
Last edited by jooka; 08-10-2013 at 02:49 PM.
Dufner did have the round of his life.. but the reason I like him is he is VERY steady. He doesn't make many mistakes and he rarely beats himself.
