Didn't see this, so remaking it.
Was announced for a summer 2013 release.
"Sorry I tried to spit roast your mom."
Hoping for great things from this game, but expecting a cheap "hey, it's Deadpool!" kinda thing. Likely to buy it for some laughs regardless.
Heard that it might have a Never-Dead kind of aspect to it where he loses limbs / his head. Which, if done right, could be pretty fun.
I'm expecting this to be fairly decent since High Moon is making it and Fall of Cybertron was awesome.
"Sorry I tried to spit roast your mom."
Anyone play this yet?
I have it pre-loaded at home but can't play it till after work.
Just got this today, haven't heard a single person talk about it. I hope that it isn't as bad as all what it's looking like.
Getting really mediocre reviews, 6/10's and 3/5's everywhere.
an understated ensemble that puts the "b" in subtle
Gameplay looks meh, but it seems funny from what I've seen on streams.

Diablo III, Overwatch, and HotS - Delly#1309
It's not gonna win any awards for originality, but the humor is fantastic. I've cracked up a few times in the first 2 hours. But it's fairly standard hack and slash. Picked it up just cause i'm a huge fan, and it's more or less what i expected.
I was on the fence about picking this up today, but went ahead and pulled the trigger. I do not regret it at all
It's actually pretty fun and Deadpool is god damned hilarious. They really nailed Deadpool himself and the humor and that's what really matters.
The combat is also fairly fun and some parts can be absolutely brutal on hard. Ranged enemies can tear you to fucking shreds pretty fast if there's a couple or more around and you don't deal with them quickly. Melee combat is fairly button mashy, but you do have to counter shit or it will rape you. I don't know how the combat flows on easier difficulties, but it's definitely involved enough on Hard to be fun.
This game is absolutely fucking hilarious. Like, it's probably the most vulgar video game ever made.
Whatever you do, don't watch the giantbomb quick look. I watched it last night, the complaints about it, outside of "clunky controls", were essentially that High Moon and Nolan North made a Deadpool game that had Deadpool being accurately Deadpool
This game is absolutely fucking hysterical. Will update more thoroughly tomorrow.
It absoloutly is the most vulgar video game ever. Your first meeting with cable, i almost fell outta my chair laughing. It`s worth the price of pick up for anyone still on the fence =)
Anyone playing on PC, and with KB + Mouse or Gamepad? My X360 controllers are so old they won't hold a charge anymore so can't really use them with the Microsoft PC dongle thing. I've got a couple of PS3 controllers that I guess I could just plug in with the USB and use?
Was trying to play Darksiders II yesterday with KB+mouse and just gave up, was horrific, and while Arkham City played well enough think I'd much rather go gamepad for these.
I have a hard time paying 50 bucks for what appears to be an indie game. I love games like this with it's humor, but is this more of a Deathspank type of game, and rather than charge a normal 15 bucks, Activision pulled an Activision, or is there something more to this that I am not seeing?
This game is not for you if: You hate Deadpool. You were expecting Wolverine. You hate fun.
This game is for you if: You love Deadpool. Enjoy laughing at your computer. Like tacos.
KB+M works fine for me. Had to rearrange some of the keybinds, but after that, it was fine.
Oh god, the part with Cable had me in tears.
The gameplay is also a lot better than reviews let on, especially when you get a good amount of upgrades unlocked. I have played way the fuck worse in quite a few 60 dollar games.

I'm going to second that.
The gameplay's not groundbreaking, but its done well.
Only tried this now because my wired controller is broken and I wanted to play Deadpool. Certainly not plug and play, but now that it is done, it works fine. Can not wait for the PS4 controller to come though. I hate the L/R2 triggers on the PS3 (never bought the addons you can get).
It's like all the good writers for gaming went over to this studio for this project with some of these lines.
how long is the game? trying to avoid spoiler reviews, so only things i have seen is short
Is this game really more vulgar than Saint's Row 3?
Haven't played Saint's Row 3, but it's pretty fucking vulgar.
Finished it on the highest difficulty and holy fuck, those last two boss fights were bullshit hard. Lol lots of one-shot attacks.
Yeah, the game isn't that long. Think i maybe put in 10 hours, before the last boss, and yeah, the difficulty ramps right the fuck up at the last couple guys.
Being a trophy and achievment whore, i'm sure i'll be doing a couple more play throughs, so in the end game will be worth it to me. If your not a huge deadpool fan might not be worth it, but like everyone else has stated previously, it's straight up fucking hilarious from start to finish.
gonna say 7/10, based mostly on not being long enough
This looks amusing, but I'm not short of games to play right now so I'll wait for a sale based on the short length.
So does this game get funnier? I loved the initial part when he was in his apartment. The first level isn't funny. At all. And I am hoping for some shock value but really there just isn't anything funny yet.
So far, the funniest part for me was whenSpoiler:
But other than that I sure as hell hope it picks up.
It really does capture Deadpool really really well so far.
I love it but I am sitting here in my Deadpool t-shirt so take from that what you will.
The actual gameplay has a few one-liners but its the cut scenes that are the true awesomeness.
Fuck you, Mr. Snuffles!
I think I pissed myself at the entire Genosha sequence, especially the "Fire fire" song starting.
Game was hilarious but the gameplay was awful. Normal was too easy and hard wasn't hard it was just annoying and tedious. Fall of Cybertron was much better.
Pretty much echo everyone here.
The game was hilarious and nicely paced. My only complaint is the controls were beyond terrible.
Spent more time than I should have remapping keys and shit.
Other than that, great game. 7.5/10
"Sorry I tried to spit roast your mom."
For someone looking for Arkham City style combat would this be a good pick? I need the catharsis of fluidly kicking bad guys in the face without actually having to move.
This does not work at all for fights with Ranged attackers though and they will destroy you if you do not take them out from range with your guns. You also have to be fairly proactive with movement against big enemies (though they are rare) and boss fights. At least on Hard anyways, I don't know how different it is on normal though apparently it's way, way easier.
Word of advice if you're playing on hard: Buy the expensive guns immediately and upgrade the fuck out of them. This is super important on Hard at least. It makes life a hundred times easier. The + Ammo upgrade in general skills is also pretty important to get in conjunction with all the gun's own upgrades. For melee weapons I'd also probably go straight to Hammers. They hit super hard and I believe one of their abilities is a random instant kill, but I'm not sure on that (the final ability in the +Damage line is just marked as ?????????). The Swords are a good alternative if you'd prefer to use those, they do decent damage and have a good Bleed effect when fully upgraded. Maxing out the best guns asap is definitely most important and you should do that first regardless.
Oh, and before any upgrades, buy the cheapo gadget unlocks. They don't have any upgrade tables (except for being able to hold more in the general tree, which is good to get at some point) and they don't cost much and they're all good consumables that you can use pretty much constantly.
