So I made it up last week to Mt. Baker. Had waist deep powder everywhere, it was amazing. Best powder day I have had the chance to ski in the last 15 years. Normally this time of year we get a bunch of the "Cascade Concrete" (thick, sticky, wet snow) but this stuff was nice light and fluffy. The day after I went, Stevens Pass (the other mountain within an easy drive from my place) received 39" of snow overnight. This is shaping up to be one of the best seasons since the '98-'99 world record setting season.
Best picture I got of myself standing in the snow at the mountain.
