Just finished this sci-fi / fantasy novel and about to start on the second book. I definitely recommend this for any that enjoy urban fantasy that doesn't have women with swords and moonlight on the cover.
Premise: Caveman gets immortality (can still be killed however), becomes a wiseass anti-hero in modern day society. Think Thomas Covenant without the self loathing and lack of people skills. Includes rationalized versions of mythological beasts. Has a lot of sexual undertones which are not overdone. A decent flair for mystery. Humor is somewhat akin to the Dresden books.
I heartily recommend!
