anyone here watch this? it took me 6 or 7 episodes to really get into it but it's one of my favorite shows. it's cheesy at times with really bad cgi but entertaining as hell.
I like Grimm. They have a little mini webisode thing going right now with Monroe, Rosealee, and Bud over at the NBC website.
It isn't amazing TV or anything but I do find it entertaining. I'm not digging the memory loss story line too much but overall I think the show is fun.
Didn't know about the webisodes, I'll have to check it out, thanks for the heads up.
Yeah, Grimm is a great show. I love Nick and Monroe. The girlfriend's eyes continually freak me out, though.
This came back from hiatus, at last, and I loved every minute of the kickoff if they're going the way I think they're going. *crosses fingers for a third season*
Didn't suspect the Captain would be working with the Resistance.
Damn i forgot this was back, need to get caught up on the newest episode. The show is definitely endearing, has its ups/downs but it grew on me a lot from the first season. Thanks for the reminder
It's back and just as good as ever. I think Ms Hexenbeast is going to get her mojo back soon, somehow.
I just want this whole "sleeping beauty" crap to be done and get back to hunting monsters. They have lost their balance between the "Creature of the week" and "season story arc" IMHO.
This show really suffers from the false drama because "everyone is a fucking retard" problem of bad writing. All this shit, because Nick refuses to tell Juliette the truth. And there doesn't appear to be any reason not to. Yet hes ruining her life, and putting it in massive danger by not.
At this point, I hope she leaves him. Best direction for this to go is, she goes with the Captian. or she leaves entirely, and becomes the antagonist. or the protagonist..
Or maybe Nick dies, and the show is now about Monroe+his girl, and Juliette and the cap.
I really enjoyed the last episode, for how the the arc moves I couldn't believe all that happened in the last episode. It felt more like a season finale\
Did anyone else feel this last episode was just off? It felt like a high school class doing a play based on the TV show. The writing, acting and camera work were all really amateurish. I swear nearly every line of dialogue was straight out of Generic Cop Drama 101.
I didn't mind this last episode as much. Nice to see them touch on something other than the stupid sleeping beauty story arc. But yeah, the actress playing Juliette needs to step up a little more. Or let a sex tape/nudes on her phone get leaked.
Cool episode...I like how he got Daredevil powers after the fly thing attacked him.
Btw, the preview for next week: Seems like the writers or production people like Farscape, because the login name for the person was AerynSun ;P
Apparently that worm thing is a real disease and is a big problem in Africa. Ugh...
How the heck she doesn't figure out the ghost and the giant hole in the floor with electrical flashes are symbols of her returning memory of Nick is beyond me. Other then that this show is good, hope it gets another season.
Probably because people who lose memories and start to remember typically don't have full blown hallucinations on that scale ;P
the worst of the shows I keep up w/. Monroe and the captain are what make the show. most of the acting is hella bad, but the story and all the different 'species' are enough to keep me watching.
Nick is protagonist and eye candy for those who like guys. Juliet is... so far just eye candy for those who like girls. Wish they hadn't bothered with this bullshit of her freaking out and getting amnesia. Entirely pointless, and having her back Nick up would have been 1000x better.
yeap. made the mistake of eating dinner while watching that episode...
Haha, I was actually surprised at how gory it got for a second there with the girl in the hospital having worms in her eyes.. eesh.
Anyway, this past episode was actually quite awesome. I like how they made it clear that a Grimm is more than just a human that can see Wesen. Nick has demonstrated the ability to kick some serious ass but this episode showed that that ability is supernatural.
What I find strange is that he always looks up Wesen info in his aunts trailer, but never tries to find any info about Grimms and their abilities etc. Also, his own mother didn't tell him anything either.
Was there a new episode last night (4/26)? I can't find it anywhere.
It's on Hulu - just watched it.
Ya, it was the episode that was supposed to air last week but got preempted by the bomber manhunt. Grimm moves to Tuesdays at 10pm starting this Tuesday, btw.
I liked this episode for nothing more than the amount the amount the Juliette story arc seems to be at nearing nearing a wrap up.
I do wonder if moving to Tuesday is a good or bad thing. It's moving away from the dreaded Friday night slot (where Sci-Fi/Fantasy shows go to die) but now the Voice is it's lead in....
It's been renewed for season 3. Hopefully the move to Tuesday opens it up to a wider audience.
Grimm does really well on Fridays. But take those same ratings and plop it in a Tuesday timeslot? Not sure if this is a good move at all.
Blatant ratings fishing, I think, putting it there. Want to wager it worsens them? At least there will be a season 3 with apparently a FULL order for it too!

It depends. It will get a ratings boost vs. what it has now, but it will be weighed vs. the lead-in and that timeslot.
Just as a reminder, Grimm is on tonight at 10pm (I almost forgot myself).
Good episode with an X-Files plot. I'm glad they're finally tying up the Juliet storyline next week.
Barely noticed that the black guy wasn't in that episode. What's up with him?
Also the Asian-cop seems to be just as effective at filling in for him, if not more so.
Last episode they explained that Hank was going on vacation to Hawaii. Also [email protected] idea of Monroe's parents maybe coming to visit. They'd probably disown him if they saw his best friend was a Grimm ;P
Grimm was up 54% in the ratings from its latest Friday showing, It got a 2.0 but was down from a 3.7 that the Voice got. Still that doubled that ready for love show that NBC pulled.
Not bad. Real test will be next week, though, to see if the ratings bump is real.
Looks like the Tuesday shift is doing good things for the ratings (color me wrong about the shift so far):
Next week: zombies!...ish.

Muse kinda looked like a night elf ;p. At least they are wrapping up the memory loss crap.
The captain stepping on the gun and saying "really??" was possibly the highlight of the show for me.
I liked the cliff hanger...Saw it coming though.
I think the cast is starting to come together...Looking forward to next season.
"Oh come on, you knew this was coming".
They should have included a troll face when that appeared ;p
Ya, the voodoo zombie thing gave him ultra strength so that he could punch metal ;p The season preview had a snippet where Nick mentions that the zombie thing had some sort of beneficial side effect (sort of like the fly vesen that took his vision but gave him Daredevil powers as a result).
Honestly, I was secretly hoping the kidnapping succeded so they relocate the series to Europe for at least part of this season and go deeper into the Royal Families and key plotlines.
Well, the captain's brother wasn't on the plane, so he's presumably still in Portland. So we're likely going to see more of him
Wife and I just watched the first season of this. I was pleasantly surprised. It's like Supernatural-lite (a comparison I'm sure that's been made millions of times). It wasn't even on my radar until my wife's friend told her she was in an episode in the second season, so wife ran out and bought season 1 and 2 (if you're going to get the 2nd season, might as well watch the first, first). It's not even a speaking part, but kinda cool to go "hey there she is!"
I wonder if they will ever revisit what happened with Asian Cop. He got spelled and then was eating money and stuff. Then they just kinda dropped that story line.
He was eating his couch cushions. If an event isn't part of the main plot, they just kind of forget about it.
So um... Nick is now a cross between a Walking Dead zombie and Dalton from Road House.
Well he's better now...kinda. He seems to revert to being dead randomly still ;P You know that the brother isn't dead. Exploding cars in TV shows typically mean the person isn't dead, unless you actually see the death.
I really liked this last episode (though I'm biased bc I'm Filipino). Either way, I wonder how long it'll take Wu to snap out of it and join the Scooby Gang.
Still the guilty pleasure show. I hope the shit hits the fan soon, they need more action above the one beast an episode thing.
Ya, it was kinda messed up they let Wu think he was insane at the end. I've been digging this season so far, though.
Nice! This season is starting to get good. Learning about all the various shadow groups out there among the vessen.
this is my number 1 guilty pleasure, I seem able to watch it with no judgment but always feel weird telling people I have seen every episode from the start. Glad to hear the good news.
And three seasons in, we finally know, definitively, how vessen know when someone is a Grimm.
I always figured it would be an eye thing, although I had guessed glowing eyes instead of bottomless blackhole eyes of death. I guess that really does explain why Vessen loose their shit when they see him. I thought it was funny and Monroe and Rosealie admitted it took awhile to get used to it lol.
Looks like they just added Faith v2 to the team...You can definitely see the Whedon influence on the show...but that isn't surprising since about half the main writers are from his team that wrote Angel.
Yeah, Faith 2.0 definitely feels unnecessary. There's only 3 eps left in the season, so it seems pretty late to be introducing a new character. But I guess they're trying to push the story forward of building up the ranks of the good guys for the big showdown with the Royals? (A week or two ago they teased Capt Renard hyping up the police force against an attack, and they didn't show that scene when Viktor was in town)
Concur with "well this feels out of place" (especially some of the lines from next week's preview). It seemed like the writers all got together and said: "Hey what do you think happens when there's a Grimm with no one to tell him/her wtf is going on?"
Concur with Folan about the $50, especially in context with the "on this season" preview.
THEY BETTER GO INTO THE KEY PLOT MORE KTHX.
And what happened with Zombie Nick? They seemingly dropped that plot line.
The zombie juice just powered up his Grimm. Dunno if permanently or not, but it made him less likely to rage out and heightened his senses.
Ya, it seemed like if he survived/suffered certain Wessen special abilities, he was able to turn them into innate Grimm abilities (Blinded by that fly creature = gave him Daredevil hearing powers, zombie thing = gave him the ability to go temp zombie mode so he could avoid things like drowning). Following that logic, I wonder if this will give him magic resist or something.
+255 MR FTW!
I certainly hope they don't drag out this "Nick lost his powers" crap too long. Nice as a contrast, not as a mainstay of the season IMHO. And...Spoiler:
Wu's constant dumb expressions are the worst part of this show. He's such a weirdo.

They need to bring Reggie Lee's character into the loop. They've given him some lolsy lines in the past, so adding in Wesen jokes on top of that I can only imagine the snark.
but those dumb expressions... So bad.
He'll be back to normal in another 2 episodes at most, I bet.
